Greetings Educators,We are excited to be hosting this year’s LATM conference at theCrowne Plaza in Baton Rouge and are anxious to see everyoneOctober 21 and 22. This year the two-day format will allow less timeaway from your students while still offering a quality, professionallearning opportunity. The 2024 LATM Conference: Math is My Jam(https://lamath.org/conference2024) will begin Monday, October 21with concurrent sessions at 8:00 AM and will last throughout the day,concluding with the awards ceremony in the ballroom of the CrownePlaza. Baton Rouge has a variety of menu offerings in its downtownrestaurants for those looking to enjoy a relaxing dinner as well. Theconference will continue Tuesday with a half day of concurrentsessions concluding at 12:30 PM.The conference committee continues to work hard to prepare agreat event for math teachers of all grade levels. You will have theopportunity to attend useful and informational concurrent sessionswhile networking with other educators from across the state andregion. Sessions will focus on Mathematics, STEM, STEAM, and/orGeneral Classroom Practices. Please consider sharing your expertise with your peers by submittinga concurrent session proposal. Online submissions are beingaccepted through August 16th. LATM TRAVEL GRANTSLATM TRAVEL GRANTSThe Louisiana Association of Teachers of Mathematics isawarding up to $5000 in travel grants with ten (10) grantsawarded for up to $500 to offset the expense of attending the2024 LATM Math Conference at the Crowne Plaza in BatonRouge on October 21-22, 2024.
