Dedicated to high-quality CE, the IDA Professional Development Committee and the Midwest Dental Association Subcommittee work hard to offer a wide range of course options that are approved by the Indiana State Board of Dentistry and the American Dental Association. All classes taken through the IDA meet licensure requirements. Over the past year, we've heard from multiple dental professionals who participated in CE that claimed to meet licensure standards, but were neither approved by the ISBD nor the ADA. CE that counts towards license renewal will include our approved seal. We want our members and their team to take part in CE that counts. View licensure requirements at www.in.gov/pla/professions/dentistry-home/.

For your convenience, both programs are offered in a central Indiana location, at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Plainfield, IN.Join us for Dr. Marco Brindis' "Implant Supported Telescopic Hybrid Prosthesis – Indications, Contraindications and Challenges" on Friday, April 26 and Dr. Lou Graham's "Geriatric Dentisry: The Fastest Growing Demographic in Dentistry" on Friday, November 1. Each session includes a light breakfast and lunch, and will develop you and your team professionally with five LIVE credit hours each for the same great low prices. Center For Excellence in Continuing EducationTraining Objectives: Skills. Knowledge. Productivity.Description: The screw retained hybrid prosthesis is one of the most popular and successful solutions for the treatment of the edentulous maxilla. Some of the limitations of this type of prosthesis are poor hygiene and expensive maintenance. A more recent alternative is the implant supported telescopic hybrid prosthesis. This prosthesis provides the benets of the screw retained prosthesis yet allowing for better hygiene and less expensive maintenance, however, there are new challenges. This presentation will go over the rationale, indications, and contraindications of this prosthetic option. It will also cover the possible complications with their respective solutions. Lecture Objectives: Ø Recognize the limitations of the screw retained hybrid prosthesis Ø Understand the benets of having a “stable in function” prosthesis that can be removed by the patient Ø Have a clear understanding of the limitations of telescopic implant prosthesisImplant Supported Telescopic Hybrid Prosthesis – Indications, Contraindications and ChallengesDateFriday, April 26Check-in8 – 9 a.m.Class time9 a.m. – 3 p.m.On-site lunch11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.Credits5 LIVE Credit hoursPresenterMarco Brindis, DDSImportant Info.Scan code to registerCE PROVIDERADA & ISBD APPROVED

Register online www.INDental.org/CFE 9Description: Who knew that the fastest growing segment of our population is 65+! Another fact, more patients than ever before above the age of 70, have their teeth and with that comes far more challenges in their dental options and treatments. Add medical issues and you have a whole new subset within our profession, and it’s called geriatric dentistry. Let’s not forget most of these patients don’t have dental insurance and this course will also present some commonsense business approaches because when a 75-year-old comes to your ofce, they may be a patient truly for life! Lastly, this is not a course on nursing home dentistry but far more about customizing your practice around the needs of these patients. Lecture Objectives: Ø Why AI (artificial intelligence) is becoming an essential part of our diagnostics and even more Ø How initial exams and recall exams incorporate the latest technologies (digital scanning) and 3D diagnostics (CBCT) into treatment planning and case acceptance Ø Modern day restorative approaches that allow us to prolong our patient’s dentitions Ø The vast majority of these patients present with periodontal issues, understand the best approaches to “upping” your oral hygiene game and the latest on treating refractory periodontal patients and their periodontal challenges Ø Customizing your own in office dental plan, these patients love them!Friday, November 1Geriatric Dentistry: The Fastest Growing Demographic in DentistryAbout the SpeakerLou Graham, DDSDr. Lou Graham is an internationally recognized lecturer. His lectures focus on incorporating current clinical advancements through “conservative dentistry.” He emphasizes the same concepts he practices: dental health diagnosis, treatment plans for medically compromised patients, conservative treatment, cosmetic dentistry, and customized approaches to periodontal care, implants and laser dentistry.
