To ensure the maximum lifespan of the building and protect against future flood risks, the entire structure was first lifted 10 feet, allowing for the addition of a new basement and retaining walls. The renovation also included seismic retrofits to bring the building up to code.As part of the preparation for the Building 12 renovation, the adjacent historical Building 15 underwent major modifications, including stripping its roofing and siding, and was transported 150 feet south for temporary storage. After the roads and site work around Building 12 were completed, Building 15 returned to its original location, and was set on new concrete piles. Building 12 now features a state-of-the-art market hall on the ground floor, with maker spaces on the second floor and expansive, modern oce space on the third floor.

In addition, the team also installed topping slabs, cast in place walls, shotcrete, and structural beams, and columns. Bradley collaborated closely with the general contractor to develop intricate Life Safety and Emergency evacuation plans to ensure the safety of all involved.
