What Is Trust Worth? It’s an interesting question that I’ve been thinking about a lot over the last few years. In recent decades (perhaps longer, but I know that among my fellow Gen Xers it has been especially pronounced) trust in Institutions has eroded as various scandals have plagued Churches, political parties, corporations (large and small) and the like. Whether it was nancial impropriety, some sort of sexual abuse or scandal, collusion, coverup, or just bald-faced fearmongering and power grabbing, we as a collective people are having a hard time trusting many of the societal pillars that once seemed so stable. But our distrust didn’t really stop there. I recently read an article citing various studies detailing the declining trust that people have in their fellow humans, with the declines even extending to those inside of one’s own family. Ugh. Why in the world would I bring this up in RYM’s Annual Ministry Report?!Because trust matters. If you have it, opportunities for growth, healing, ourishing and the like are all possible, if not likely! And if you don’t, then it is hard to accomplish much of anything (in whatever sphere of life in which you might seek to do so).RYM’s Board of Directors has decided that our #1 long-term strategic goal is to be the most trusted name in Youth Ministry. This involves a vigorous attention to and promotion of our core values - Relationships, Youth Ministry’s Strategic Importance, Biblical Truth, Hospitality, and Fun - as we serve Churches. It also involves a realistic assessment of where we fall short of those values in our mission and ministry, and making the necessary adjustments to earn back trust where it’s been lost.Perhaps the single most important thing we can do to engender trust from others, is to - as a ministry - remain xated on and trusting in the Lord “with our whole heart, leaning not on our own understanding” (Prov. 3:5). We do and we will seek to continue to do just that. Trusting Him now and in the days and years to come with the people He’s given us to serve already, and those whom we’ve yet to serve but will as RYM grows and expands. In the absence of trust, the gears turn slowly. In the presence of trust, good things can happen. Eternal things, even.Thank you for trusting RYM with your kingdom resources as we serve Churches in their eorts to reach and equip youth for Christ. We hope this report brings you joy in knowing that good, even Eternal things are happening through this partnership.Brent and Sarah Corbin and their four daughters: Nora, Katherine, Mary and Margaret2Brent Corbin, Executive DirectorAll for Jesus,

6Growth in TrainingThank you, RYM sta, for an amazing week. I look forward to YLT all year and am always sad when it’s over. I was encouraged by the teaching and the time I spent with other youth workers. Thank you for ministering to me and for caring so deeply for Christ’s church.Church Internship ProgramThe Church Internship Program is a two-year apprenticeship for men and women considering a call to ministry. RYM places Church Interns in partnering local churches where they serve full-time, gaining practical ministry experience, biblical and theological education, and mentoring. There were four Church Interns serving in three churches in 2024.YLT Cohorts The Youth Leader Training Cohorts program serves churches by developing capable and resilient leaders who will strengthen youth ministries that reach and equip youth for Christ. Leaders are placed in groups of 4-6 along with a seasoned mentor for nine months of study, accountability, and encouragement. There are currently 28 leaders from ve dierent denominations participating – more than doubling in size since it began in 2023. Youth Leader Training EventsRYM hosted two training events in 2024, Youth Leader Training in Nashville, TN, and the Northeast Youth Ministry Summit in Ligonier, PA. At these events, over 300 youth leaders were equipped, connected, and encouraged through seminars, group discussions, prayer groups, and time for rest and recreation with their peers in ministry. One leader from Mississippi commented after YLT Nashville this year saying, “I circle this week on my calendar every year because I know that whatever else happens through the year - however tired or discouraged I might get - I can come to YLT to be re-energized for the ministry before me.”
