A MESSAGE FROM THE Executive DirectorWelcome to the Fitton Center for Creative Arts and the 2024-2025 Season!We have crafted a sensational program for the upcoming year, bringing some of the finest local and national talent to Hamilton for an ever-more-diverse and inclusive series of live performances. Our art galleries remain a free community hub, filled with rotating exhibitions of gorgeous and galvanizing artwork. The Fitton Center’s commitment to arts education stands firm with a broad range of award-winning classes, workshops and summer camps. Our dynamic outreach and engagement programs continue to positively aect many who wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to experience the beauty and power of the arts.The Fitton Center continues to develop and expand to better serve its patrons. This season, you’ll benefit from our investment in a brand-new ticketing system and technology upgrades throughout our teaching studios and performance spaces. Also this year, the Fitton Center stretches beyond Monument Avenue to its first annex location at Liberty Center - where we oer several classes in a new studio at the Foundry – and a wide range of community events all over Butler County.We can’t thank our members, patrons, donors, sponsors and funders enough for their incredible support. PERFORMANCES With more than 40 events each year, we present an array of rock, jazz and classical music, as well as guest speakers, dance, comedy and live theater. EXHIBITIONS With an emphasis on community engagement, inclusion, collaboration and partnership, our five galleries oer the public approximately 20 diverse exhibitions annually, all free of charge. ART EDUCATION People of all ages can inspire their creative spirit in one of our hands-on art classes, workshops or summer camps. Scholarships are available to ensure all people have equal access to art education.COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT We bring a vibrant, community-centric focus on the arts by engaging families in original, innovative and fun community art projects at events throughout Hamilton and Butler County. Scholarships eliminate financial limitations that prohibit some students from participating in our classes and workshops. We make arts education available to more than 100 students per year, regardless of income. Each session we oer beloved workshop favorites like Wearable Mosaics in addition to unique and diverse rotating mosaic workshops that help our students master new techniques. Volunteers take tickets and seat people at our shows, help install art, give tours, provide administrative support, and help build the community during events. Volunteers are an integral part of art accessibility and all that we do at the Fitton Center. The program creates engagement by producing high-quality art, providing opportunities for local artists, and enhancing the visual appeal of the city. With the goal of fueling Hamilton artistically, StreetSpark brings visible murals and artwork into our community. This program energizes our streetscape, creates awareness of the arts, and sparks new development throughout Hamilton. StreetSpark has created 20 murals and painted 17 utility-box designs in a variety of styles since the summer of 2016. Each year artists submit a range of designs while a committee of art professionals and appreciators from the area select the winning murals.
