Est. 2008MISSIONWHO WE AREICE STUDIOS SCHOOL OF DANCE Is a nonprofit dancestudio that offers professional dance classes to studentsof different ages and physical abilities with an emphasison living a healthy lifestyle through exercise and propernutrition.ICE STUDIOS SCHOOL OF DANCE was inspired in 2008through the success and creative talents of IshaWilliams better known as “Ms. Ice”. As the programcoordinator and choreographer of the various schooland community programs (KCMSD/Afterschool), danceshowcases and parent involvement in the urban core,which lead Ms. Ice to create her own dance studio. As a performing arts dance studio, we exist toteach the youth and help them build a healthylifestyle in a positive and creative environment.

Devons dance career began in 1992 at Carol Byrd’s (nowByrd's Dance and Gymnastics) in Kansas City, Kansas. Whilethere she learned Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Gymnastics. Devonthen transitioned to Liturgical Dance (praise dance) at mychurch for about 15 years. Hosting, traveling and dancing invarious workshops, engagements and local events. In her adulthood she became Zumba certified, taken over10,000 hours of dance training, traveled and trained with someof the worlds top choreographers, trained at some of topdance studios in the world and eager to teach others what shelearned. Devons has had experience and training in the followinggenres of dance; Hip hop, Ballet, Jazz, Heels, Two-Step, LineDance, Contemporary, Afro fusion/ Dancehall, Tap, House,Lyrical, Musical Theater, Kizomba, Waacking, Zumba(Reggaeton, Cumbia, Merengue, Samba, Cha-cha, Bachata,Salsa). Briana Reed coaches the Mini Jazz/HipHopCompetition Team. Born & raised in KCMO, she’sbeen dancing all her life. From 3rd-5th grade shewas taught styles of dance including step, praise,jazz, hiphop and more from ICE Studios’ very ownIsha Williams through a group called Sister GirlsUnited (SGU). Because of Ms. Ice and other dance instructorsalong the way, she has grown into a more maturedancer as the years has gone by and the memoriesfrom SGU will stick with her forever. Briana choseto coach at Ice Studios because she wanted tocease the opportunity to pour into these girls justlike Ms. Ice poured into her as a young girl. Lecia Sims is a 22 year old dancer from Chicago IL,pursuing a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts (BFA) at theUniversity of Missouri - Kansas City. She she startedher dance career at the Chicago High School for theArts. There she trained in a pre professional danceprogram specializing in styles such as Ballet, Modern,Contemporary, Hiphop, African, and Spanish dance.This led to her wanting to continue dancing into hercollege career at The University of Missouri- KansasCity (UMKC), as a dance major. There Sims discoveredeven more styles of dance she could explore andenjoyed doing. Lecia Sims Dance Instructor Est. 2008Having a broad background in dance, Simshas had the opportunity to hone in on thereason she dances and it was simplebecause it brings her so much joy. Lecia iscurrently under Next Paige Talent Agencywhile also finishing her BFA and hopes tocontinue spreading joy through herthoughtful dancing.She has danced various styles under choreographers such as, GaryAbbott, DeeAnna Hiett, Sarah Ford Thompson, Nicole Springer, , RayMercer, Kevin Iega Jeff, and many more.

Jordan Alford Jordan “Mama Jay” Alford, a skilleddancer and choreographer from St.Joseph, Missouri, graduated fromMWSU with minors in dance andentrepreneurship. During her time at MissouriWestern, she was the Captain of theMystics Dance Team and theFounding Artistic Director of theMissouri Western Dance Company,showcasing her dedication to theart of dance.Dance Instructor Est. 2008

Azia GambrellDance Instructor Azia Gambrell is an Oklahoma native who studied danceperformance and choreography at The University ofMissouri Kansas City where she earned a Bachelor ofFine Arts from the Conservatory of Music and Dance.Gambrell is featured as the lead dancer in The NuclearBananas “Harry’s Ghost” music video and has been aprincipal dancer for music artist Tah’Lure. Azia is an instructor for the National Dance Alliance andhas been with the company for 8 years and counting.Gambrell is an advocate for the Arts and founded Art inThe City KC, an event that features live performancesand art from KC’s finest artists. Azia is also a fitness trainer for AKT and a trusted realestate professional with Murrell Homes Real EstateGroup. Azia debuted in her first Musical Revue with TheBlack Repertory Theatre’s productions of After Midnightin October 2022, where she choreographed, danced, andsang in the production. Azia absolutely enjoysinstructing at Ice Studios School of Dance and is soblessed she gets to share her gift of dance artistry withthe students at Ice Studios! Est. 2008

Jillian Kramschuster is from Kansas City, Missouri.She trained at Kansas City Friends of Alvin Aileybefore attending the UMKC Conservatory forDance. She will graduate in May with a BFA inDance Performance and Choreography. At school she has danced in the works of GaryAbbott, Nicole Clark-Springer, Micheal Blake, andKaren Brown. Outside of school she has dancedwith Tristian Griffin Dance Company, Kansas CityFriends of Alvin Ailey's "Setting the Stage" and atthe Charlotte Street Foundation. She has beenteaching at ICE Studios since the Fall of 2020 andis grateful for the opportunity to work with Ms. Ice,the teachers and staff of ICE Studios, and with allthe students! Christen Hines Christen Hines, now 20 years old, began dancing at IceStudios School of Dance when she was five years old.Eventually, she transferred to Dramatic Truth Schoolof the Arts, where she was trained for the past 12years. She traveled with the company as a traineecompany member for three years. With them, sheperformed at several concerts and school occasions. In addition to performing with them in Dallas, Texas,and Time Square, Manhattan, New York. She has alsohad the opportunity to train with Kansas City Balletartists. She also spent 5 years dancing with Storling Conservatory intheir annual production, Underground. Christen hasappeared in a wide range of performances all across thecountry. She is currently a member of the Kinfigure DanceCompany. Christen is trained in Classical Ballet, Pointe ,Hiphop, Tap , Jazz , Modern, and Musical Theater Dance Instructor Est. 2008

Denise Phillips Denise, a native of Kansas City, grew up dancing at DollyArdens Dance Studio in Grandview Missouri, where shestudied and performed tap, Jazz, ballet, and tumbling. After performing as a dancer in West Side Story, in Loose Parktheater, she knew she had a passion to study, teach, andperform. She studied at UMKC Conservatory, where shestudied ballet from Miss Shirley Weaver, and modern fromWinifred Weidener of Martha Graham Co. , From there shejoined the Missouri Dance Theater directed by Paul Chambersand Cliff Kerwin while continuing her training. In this company,she danced with David Parsons, and worked with guestchoreographers such as Louis Falco.,Denise returned to the UMKC Conservatory and completed herBachelor of Fine Arts and dance in 1998. There she studiedballet with Paula Weber and Mary Pat Henry; modern from LeniWilliams, Deanna Hyett, and Catherine Plavkan; Jazz andFlamenco from Tamara Carson.Denise has 20 years of experience, teaching all ages, dancingand choreographing for college musicals, Studios, and churchmusicals, and the Action House community program for kids.She continues her passion of teaching, currently as an adjunctprofessor, at Johnson County Community College, for Ballet.Modern. And Jazz; and Instructor at Ice Studios School ofDance, and Dancerz Unlimited; and hopes to keep inspiringpeople of all ages to dance! Dance Instructor Est. 2008
