Each week campers will contribute to their very own Hogwarts AC yearbook. They will create stories, articles, andillustrations. Fun items like polls, interviews, and trivia are encouraged. On Friday students will enjoy the HogwartsAC end-of-term feast, which includes a pizza lunch provided by the Headmistress of Hogwarts AC, thepresentation of the House Cup, and the Hogwarts AC yearbook distribution and signing. Other crafts and activities will vary as they are designed around the storyline of the novel of the week.These are meant to foster creativity and develop team-building and problem-solving skills. Activitiesunique to week 1 include making a remembrall, playing wizards chess, and participating in the Sorcerer’sStone challenge.Students are not required to be familiar with the books to attend and enjoy a magical time. *We do our best at Hogwarts AC to keep major plot points (especially those in the later books that weare not covering at camp this summer) a secret. Camp Descriptions August 7th - August 11th cont'dParticipants in 6th - 12th grade will spend two weeks focusing on the entire theatrical processfrom start to finish. They will collaborate to build their own production from top to bottom! Eachparticipant has the option of an ON-STAGE or OFF-STAGE focus. Both groups will also haveopportunities to mentor the younger campers from the ACT K-2 and 3-5 throughout the week. ON-STAGE: Performers unite! The first week will contain workshops on auditioning, vocal/physicalexercise and maintenance, choosing repertoire, experiencing a dance call, etc. The second week,participants will start to build their scenes and songs, while working with the OFF-STAGE crew, tocreate their final performance at the end of the week! OFF-STAGE: If you have ever wanted to learn how to make the lights pretty on the stage, or runthe sound in a theatre, this is the camp for you!! The first week will contain workshops with localexperts in the various technical theatre and design fields such as sound, lighting, scenic, costume,stage management and more.
