CERTIFICATIONThe CIAAA’s certication program provides a template for the athletic administrator to pursue professional development. This a voluntary professional service to athletic administrators with various levels of experience and preparation. Individuals will enhance their ability to serve the students, school, and community. Some school boards and districts in Canada expect certication when hiring Athletic Directors, and the CIAAA is focused on working to ensure more school boards consider and understand these professional designations.GET INVOLVEDThe CIAAA is a member-based organization whose success relies on the work of volunteers. We are always looking to involve Athletic Directors from across the country. A few of the ways you could get involved are: • CIAAA Board of Directors Member • Become a Leadership Training Program Instructor • Join a Committee • Conference Committee • LTP Course Content Committee • Resource Bank & Discussion Forum CommitteeContact Caleigh at caleigh@ciaaa.ca for detailsCerticationInformation& Applications

MASTERS DEGREEThe CIAAA has partnered with Grace College, who offers a fully online, project-based MSc in Athletic Administration incorporating courses from the CIAAA (and NIAAA) Leadership Training Program. The Master’s degree will extend the content of the LTP modules through higher-level thinking and learning activities as well as enable athletic administrators to receive degree credit for their mastery of the content and their application of that learning in practical ways through their current employment. There are ten Grace College projects that make up the bulk of the degree. Two LTP Courses serve as prerequisites for each Grace College course, so a total of 20 LTP courses are required for the 10 Grace College Courses.. Courses and projects may be completed in any order. The most exciting part of this degree is that all projects are of the student’s choosing, and students can design their projects to be completely relevant to their own athletic administration at their school or within their athletic community. Program Director, Dr. Darrell Johnson will be at the Conference to provide more information about the Masters Degree. Masters Program Information
