We are pleased to share Randolph Community School Summer Camp offerings.Our Summer Trailblazers day camp (for Kindergarten – Grade 5) includes fun-lled days of sports, games, arts and crafts, waterplay and surprise guests. “Fun Friday” was a hit last year and, by popular demand, it will be back! On Fridays, pizza lunch is included for all campers and entertainment may be planned by our Summer Leaders. Weekly visits to a local pool and day trips are planned for the older campers (Grades 2–5). Mini-trips for the younger campers may be scheduled throughout the summer.Admission fees and trip transportation are included for all trips.Students entering 6th – 8th grade are invited to join our Summer Travelers day camp. Travelers are on the road every day. Adventures may include trips to the beach, local pools, amusement parks, water parks, baseball games, mini-golf, local and state parks for hiking, and more. Our Summer Explorers has something for everyone. Our arts camps include Band, Orchestra, Theatre, and Vocal choices. A new camp – Dance – has been added! Each camp includes an opportunity to shine – with optional performances planned. Culinary camp returns this summer with new recipes to try and new kitchen skills to learn. Explorer camps will run in half-day sessions (morning and afternoon) with dates and camp choices varying throughout the summer.Our Summer Leaders camp (Counselors-in-Training) for Grades 9-11 returns this summer. Summer Leaders work with younger campers to learn skills needed to be good role models, while preparing to become a camp counselor in the future. CPR training and certication is included. Summer Leaders are “Counselors in Training” (CITs) who learn skills needed to be good role models for campers, while preparing to become a camp counselor in the future. Leaders primarily help in a variety of capacities within the Summer Trailblazer camp such as working with groups throughout the day, assisting during ﬁeld trips (trip transportation and admission for any planned trips is included) and more. Leaders work with camp directors and counselors to plan activities. Sessions are scheduled at mutually agreeable times and must be used by December 31, 2023.Sessions are designed to cover all aspects of the PSAT/SAT (Evidence-Based Reading, Writing and Language, Math, Essay) and ACT (English, Math, Reading, Science, Essay) while also focusing on key test-taking strategies including time management. Because the sessions are one-on-one, attention will also be devoted to helping students identify individual strengths and weaknesses and develop a study plan as the test date approaches.Free practice testing is included, as are basic materials. Students will be provided with additional recommended materials for purchase. COLLEGE PLANNING SERVICESThe Morristown-Randolph ofﬁce of Breakaway Prep has partnered with the Randolph Community School to offer college planning services tailored to individual student and family needs. Breakaway Prep can help students explore college websites; research possible college matches and create a list of target schools. Services can also include reviews ofapplication processes; admission types (ED, EA, etc.), testing requirements, preparing for college visits and interviews as well as the types of ﬁnancial aid available. PSAT/SAT/ACT PREPThe Morristown-Randolph ofﬁce of Breakaway Prep has partnered with the Randolph Community School to help students prepare for college entrance exams. Packages of 6 one-hour, one-on-one sessions with experience teachers and tutors are available for $950. Sessions are scheduled at mutually agreeable times and must be used by December 31, 2023.Sessions are designed to cover all aspects of the PSAT/SAT (Evidence-Based Reading, Writing and Language, Math, Essay) and ACT (English, Math, Reading, Science, Essay) while also focusing on key test-taking strategies including time management. Because the sessions are one-on-one, attention will also be devoted to helping students identify individual strengths and weaknesses and develop a study plan as the test date approaches.Free practice testing is included, as are basic materials. Students will be provided with additional recommended materials for purchase. COLLEGE PLANNING SERVICESThe Morristown-Randolph ofﬁce of Breakaway Prep has partnered with the Randolph Community School to offer college planning services tailored to individual student and family needs. Packages of 6 one-hour one-on-one sessions with a certiﬁed college counselor are available for $950. Breakaway Prep can help students explore college websites; research possible college matches and create a list of target schools. Services can also include reviews ofapplication processes; admission types (ED, EA, etc.), testing requirements, preparing for college visits and interviews as well as the types of ﬁnancial aid available. Students are shown how to navigatecareer websites, explore majors and career outlooks as well as prepare applications, search for scholarship opportunities (and prepare scholarship applications), understandFAFSA and CSS Proﬁle forms and deadlines. REFUNDS & WITHDRAWALS:• Any withdrawal request must be submitted in writing to communityschool@rtnj.org and must identify the child’s name, Community Pass Family ID number, and specic request.• Refunds will be available based on the following schedule:- Within 24 hours of registering, a full refund including the deposit.- If more than 24 hours after registering (through March 5) – a partial refund available (refund is all but the deposit).- Between March 6 and May 6, a partial refund is available (all but the deposit plus 25% of the balance already paid).- No refunds will be oered after May 7.• No camper will be admitted if there is an outstanding balance on the child’s account from any Community School program.• Any camper with an unpaid balance as of May 7 is subject to de-registration from camp.• Notications about programs will be sent through Community Pass.
