The final term of this academic year is in fullswing now and is jam packed with events,school tours and exams. We have three school tours heading toAmsterdam, Madrid and Munich. A greatopportunity for students to learn about othercultures and bond as a group. Our Parents’ Council are hosting a fundraiseron Wednesday this week; Bingo in the schoolhall with terrific raffle prizes to be won, it is notto be missed. Please support this event and keep your eyeout for more fundraisers next term. 4TY HORTICULTURE TRIP TO RUSSBOROUGH A massive thank you again to The Russborough walled garden volunteers; Clare, Brendan, Ann &Marian, who kindly allowed our TY Horticulture group to help out in their garden this morning. They got to plant seeds, learn about different types of plants and how to look after them, preparegarden patches, sort and move the compost bins. It is such a wonderful resource to have on our doorstep. Thank you again for you expertise andlaughter throughout the day.We would like to wish Russborough the best of luck on their upcoming flower show on the MayBank holiday. A lovely day out and great way to support a fabulous local amenity.

6CAREERS NEWSIt's certainly College talks season for 5th years. We were delighted to welcome Fiona from TUD and Jean from UCD this week, to tell us about thecourses and college life in their universities. Both talks were well attended and we are grateful tothe SET department for allowing us to use Room 40. This week we have SETU Carlow on Monday and ATU Slgo on Thursday. For 6th year students there will be a drop in session on SUSI from 1.30-3pm on Wednesday 24thApril. Please bring the details of your My GovID account , or you can create an account directly onSUSI - PPSN needed- if you want to open and work on your application on the day.. Parents arealso welcome.

7CIORCAL COMHRÁ Ciorcal Comhrá Ciorcal Comhrá is an Irish talking circle that takes place after school with Ms Gilheany and MsNí Bhreathnach. 6th Years having been coming to practice for their orals and have beenmaking excellent progress. In Ciorcal Comhrá we try to do fun activities where students havethe opportunity to speak as Gaeilge at the same time. During Seachtain na Gaeilge, 6th Years were in for a treat with the game 'Milseán Pong'. Forthis game, students had to toss the ball into the cup and, if they answered the question writtenon the bottom of the cup correctly as Gaeilge, they were rewarded with sweets.Ciorcal Comhrá is on Thursdays and is now open to 5th Year in the summer term.Bí ann!

82ND YEAR SCHOOL TOUR2nd year students returned on Thursday after 3 hectic days in Amsterdam. They visited the VanGogh museum, took a trip on a river boat, went to a cheese and clog making demonstration andspent an afternoon in a theme park. What a packed few days!!Thank you to the teachers who went with them, and made the trip a memorable one for students.
