Hello NOVA Community,I am so grateful for beingwelcomed into the fold this yearand for everyone that helpedmake the 2022-2023 school yeara successful one. Celebrating our30th anniversary as a school and20 years in our current buildinghas been an amazingopportunity to hear from and getto know our alums, their families, and past board members, as wellas our current students andparents. We were so fortunate tocelebrate NOVA and all itsconstituencies this year.Throughout the 30 years, onething has stayed the same -NOVA’s mission to be a safehaven for highly capablestudents in the greater Olympiacommunity. Thank you to everyone for theircontributions to NOVA and forhelping to make NOVA what it istoday. 0 1 | A N N U A L R E P O R T 2 0 2 3 - 2 4FROM THEHEAD OFSCHOOLTiffany PriceH E A D O F S C H O O LDear Families and Friends of NOVA,I am excited to share NOVA Middle School’s Annual Report for the 2023-24 school year.It was a great year in many ways.In the fall, we welcomed 99 students to campus. That number grew to 102 students bythe end of the year—well over our budgeted number. We were able to offer financial aid to 42% of our student body, students who wouldotherwise not be able to come to NOVA.We adventured beyond the classroom—taking trips to Camp Seymour, Port Townsend, and Lopez Island. We also went to see two plays at the Washington Center of thePerforming Arts and brought in nationally known guest speakers.Students engaged in new enrichments and extracurricular activities, like rocketry club, the NOVA newspaper, and the Procession of the Species. Almost 1/3 of our schoolparticipated in the NOVA production of “Alice in Wonderland”!And if you’ve been to campus in the last six months, you may have noticed our newNOVA Pavilion out front. This permanent structure serves as a dry lunch spot, anoutdoor classroom, and a community gathering space. We know that none of this is feasible without the support of all of our donors, volunteers, and Board members. Your financial backing has helped our school and made possiblethe great programs and experiences we are able to provide. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping keep NOVA a placewhere magic happens for highly capable students. We so appreciateyour support of NOVA.
