A Letter from Our International Director Gospel Work in the Midst of War Dear Partner in Ministry As we reflect on 2022 we praise God for His faithful hand despite our world s turmoil and uncertainty Christ is advancing His kingdom in fulfillment of His sovereign promise to reconcile the world to Himself 2 Cor 5 19 Further He has given us the ministry of reconciliation serving as ambassadors of His kingdom When you partner with one of our global workers support a strategic ministry initiative intercede for the work of TEAM in prayer or undergird our Global Outreach Fund you are on the reconciliation team Let me share just a few specific examples of reconciliation in action Veteran global workers no longer able to obtain visas are serving displaced people groups within North America The Russian invasion of Ukraine which began February 24 2022 was the most aggressive act of war in Europe since World War II At that time TEAM had two global workers in Ukraine Both were safely evacuated shortly before the onset of fighting but left behind churches ministries and Ukrainian believers they know and love as brothers and sisters in Christ Highly trained medical professionals are partnering with national colleagues in hospitals and clinics now led by local entities in places of great spiritual and physical need Local churches in nearby countries are welcoming Ukrainian refugees as they flee war and destruction Throughout the remainder of 2022 and beyond TEAM has continued to minister to those whose lives have been turned upside down by the war TEAM Ukraine s two workers have remained tireless in serving Ukrainian people in undisclosed locations TEAM as a whole ministers to those affected by the war in Ukraine in two primary ways Seminaries and Bible schools in Africa Latin America and Asia led by mature indigenous leaders are training pastors and lay leaders in discipling others and establishing missional churches Maturing global sending movements are deploying called and trained workers to take the Gospel to places no longer open to North Americans Refugees who have left Ukraine As millions fled into neighboring countries TEAM workers throughout Europe in conjunction with local churches began ministering to refugees within days of the onset of war For example in the Czech Republic apartment buildings a convent and even an idyllic 120 year old farmhouse were renovated to provide housing and ongoing care for displaced people New appointees and emerging leaders are receiving online cross cultural and leadership training as well as coaching to grow skills and experience Regional member care coordinators are prayerfully invigorating the resilience and spiritual vitality of our global workers As you read this report I hope you can glimpse how God is on the move in the global Church and that you will be encouraged to find your place alongside us in this journey And in all things we invite you to join us in praising our Lord for being the God of reconciliation Dave Hall International Director CLICK HERE Partner with the global Church and advance Kingdom reconciliation CLICK HERE Meet Anna one of the millions of brave Ukrainian refugees served through TEAM this year Displaced or stranded people inside Ukraine As the war continues to disrupt the distribution of food medicine and fuel the needs within Ukraine are staggering But God is at work in powerful ways TEAM partners with three Ukrainian churches by providing funds to meet basic needs In sharing these necessities these churches deliver the kindness of God that leads to repentance Rom 2 4 At the neediest time of their lives many Ukrainians touched by the love of Christ through God s people are repenting and embracing Christ
