Our success is inextricably linked to the communitieswe serve. We’re committed to offering artists opportunities to sharethe unique breadth of their lived experiences; with equity as one ofour core organizational values. We strive to grow ever morecompetent in navigating and honoring race, age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, identity and ability. We acknowledge that there have existed institutional and structuralhurdles preventing equity and racial justice in this country, causinghistorically marginalized communities to navigate systemic andsystematic violence, prejudice, and intolerance. We resolve to do ourpart in dismantling these systems of subjugation, working to repairand renew our relationships through the performing arts. EQUITY EQUITY STATEMENTSTATEMENT

We aim to model the inclusiveand equitable practices we wish to see in the world. We upholdclear accountability metrics in our journey of understanding in orderto achieve these goals:• A diverse internal board and staff that reflects the communities weserve• Increased access to our performance and educational programmingfor those facing systemic challenges, providing events free-of-charge and on-site engagement for houseless and those withoutaccess to technology• Transparency and cultural consultation in collaborative decision-making.• Refine and re-evaluate internal and external policies, procedures, goals, and conduct contributing to Company Culture• Language justice in all promotion and programming• Strategic partnerships and equitable relationships with communitybenefit districts, minority-owned businesses, and non-profitorganizations

As President of the Board of Epiphany Dance Theater, I would like to express my gratitude to all of ourpartners and contributors that have helped make our 25th year an amazing success. We could not do thework we do without the communities which support us and which we serve. The commitment of our boardmembers, the dedication of our management team, and the valuable funding support from agencies andindividual donors allows us to continue to provide programming and rich cultural experiences that reachbroad and diverse audiences throughout our work in theaters, in the streets, in schools, and online. This year we welcomed our audiences back with live performances while we continued to offer onlineaccess. This is only a part of what has made 2022 a year of special accomplishment. As we look back on our 25th year, we continued to adapt to a changed world. We transitioned to a hybridapproach with working in the office, in person, and with online meetings. We weathered staffing changesand embraced distributed leadership. We attended training on diversity and inclusion. Our local work andoutreach continues to be a huge part of what makes Epiphany Dance Theater a strong community ally. Our partnership in bringing “Native Land, Native Hands” to audiences and our ongoing production of San Francisco Trolley Dances highlights our success as an organization that is “small but mighty”.We thank our continued list of funders, especially those who have been with us for many years, and thosenew to the Epiphany Dance Theater family. We continue with our fundamental mission to serve a diverseaudience base through socially relevant and thought provoking material. We also thank the many individualdonors that support the art that has touched their hearts, expanded their minds, brought joy to their lives, and enhanced their experience of community. Our staff and board of directors, our dancers, musicians, and performers; as well as our teachers, students, and audiences; reflect the hope and vision we have for a world where all people are treated with dignity andrespect.Thank you for being a part of the Epiphany Dance Theater community. Why did the City of SanFrancisco place that sculpture there? Whythis street? Why did the street change; whereis the garden that used to be here, the placeI would sit and have lunch, the circle that’snow v-shaped? Why did the people ofBerkeley want to keep Tilden’s Bear Huntsculpture?” - Antoine Hunter
