YOU HELP MAKE Loving Families Trent and Deanna had the honor of knowing Micah 7 since he was just 2 years old Thanks to your support they recently added to their joy by welcoming him to their family and watching him thrive Micah has overcome previous behavior issues and the once outof control little guy is now whole says Deanna Deanna and Trent are the proud parents of seven children including six kids by adoption Micah came to live with the family as fictive kin meaning a kinship created by friendship or other social agreement rather than by birth or marriage Micah s adoption was recently finalized to restaurants to family events or to other gatherings because Micah had such a hard time and would act out Now Deanna says Micah is a sweet funny ball of energy God has changed things in Micah s life and he can do anything and be anyplace and succeed Deanna says Today Micah especially enjoys playing sports and he is making friends and learning well in school Your support makes possible the successes that Deanna s family has experienced Thank you for walking alongside ACH Even if you can t foster you can pray advocate and help those who are fostering Including Micah the family has fostered and adopted four children through ACH and Deanna says it made all the difference to have such a vast Deanna says when Micah first moved amount of support through it all in with the family they rarely went Couple Encourages SUPPORT FOR ACH Tamara Cook knows first hand the reasons why she and her husband value of programs like ACH s LIFE Brian began supporting ACH more Project Learning Independence From than 10 years ago Experience which is one of the many From 6th grade through 12th grade Tamara lived at the Masonic Home Anyone and School of Texas on the campus can make a of what is today ACH On the day she difference for kids graduated from high school she had to move out of the home Thankfully through ACH she had a friend she could stay with but many of her classmates weren t as lucky They had aged out of care yet had nowhere to go Tragically many end up homeless The LIFE Project helps meet the needs of youth in situations similar to what Tamara experienced The supervised independent living program promotes self sufficiency and self confidence for young adults aging out of the foster care system Tamara and Brian are so encouraged to see that ACH s many programs meet kids where they are and provide the support every child and young person needs to succeed Visit ACH and see what they are doing Brian encourages Meet the leaders hear their stories and look at the results Anyone can make a difference for kids through ACH Thank you Tamara and Brian for giving generously of your time and financial resources to make way for a brighter future for so many children youth and families
