FA C I L I T Y O V E R V I E W O C C U PA N C Y Reports The St Charles Convention Center is the finest full service OCCUPANCY REPORTS convention center in the Greater St Louis metropolitan area Containing over 154 000 square feet of flexible meeting including 83 000 square feet of exhibit space the SCCC is the perfect place for events up to 3 000 attendees Exhibit Hall Grand Ballroom 37 25 Junior Ballroom Meeting Rooms Overall 33 25 30 UPPER LEVEL LOWER LEVEL Grand Ballroom Elegant 16 200 square foot ballroom divisible into 6 breakout rooms with a maximum capacity retractable chandeliers that can be expanded into the of 1 050 attendees in a banquet setting Junior Ballroom for a total of 35 700 square feet Executive Board Room Well appointed board room with seating for 22 attendees with built in audio visuals Exhibit Hall 27 600 square feet of true exhibit space with Junior Ballroom 6 025 square feet that can be divided into 4 breakout rooms Conference Room Smaller boardroom with seating for 18 people overlooking the Exhibit Hall with built in audio Seven Meeting Room Ranging from 504 square feet up to 1 100 square feet visuals 5 Guest Service Center Box Office Concession Stands The Grill and Compass Caf

SUMMARY OF Accomplishments The beginning of 2021 looked to be the start of recovery The center created a budget that was more conservative than in the past given the environment that needed to be navigated Keep in mind that Training Never Stops The SCCC Training Committee continued working throughout 2021 to drive the culture of safe work practices By empowering all team members to be Safety Champions the SCCC is able to reduce injuries and lost work time Spectra values employee health and safety while at work and home Because of the reduction in events this year s concentration was on many different topics as outlined below Trainings focused on driving guest experience team work and guest safety One of the most important things the SCCC can do as an organization is to provide ongoing training to keep team members informed knowledgeable and prepared so as to keep guests clients and visitors safe while at the SCCC The SCCC continued to experience some cancellations and or postponement of events as 2021 continued with several of those moving to 2022 and beyond The center s public show attendance started to see increases as the year progressed Vintage Market Days was a new show for the center in 2021 that garnered a great turnout for both spring and fall events The Events team continued work on the EBMS Ungerboeck Software project throughout 2021 Chardean Olsen Senior Event Manager led these changes Changes implemented included the 50 page reduction of Client Event Plans internal work order enhancements and simplified scheduling of employees Training Topics Food Allergens Customer Service Fire Safety Working in the Heat Slip Trips and Falls Chemical Safety Burn Injury External efficiencies directly involving clients included the implementation of electronic license agreement signatures and secured online credit card payments These enhancements will contribute to securing events faster with less paper waste Radio Etiquette Lost Children Guest with Disabilities Fork Lift Re Opening Training Ladder Safety Conflict Reolution Throughout the year overall attendance for events experienced a lift of 67 over 2020 This can be attributed to the fact the SCCC remained open and operating while other facilities around the country were just starting to reopen for business The SCCC expereinced staffing shortages in almost every area The SCCC was able to call upon other Spectra facilities to assist over some of the critical times especially during the holiday time period In addition Luke Taylor Operations Manager created and developed a partnership with Lindenwood University Athletic Teams to fill additional labor needs This is a partnership that is continuing into 2022 6

Helping Hands Helping Hands for the Holidays was created in 2008 to The genoristy of the community afforded the ability of the provide assistance to the St Charles Community 2021 SCCC to offer an extraordinary celebration that achieved the saw an 88 increase in attendance over 2020 due to the following ongoing COVID 19 impact on the community The SCCC again partnered with Community Council Sam s Club Dollar Welcomed nearly 565 attendees General CAPS of St Charles County and Coach Hite to Provided hot holiday meals successfully host the 14th Annual Helping Hands event Distributed 1 850 winter coats and accessories Distributed 3 783 personal care items Administered vital eye healthcare screenings inculding The planning process was much different than years past as the Helping Hands committee had to reflect on how flu shots the event was handled previously and make revisions to Hosted 20 local organizations which provided guidance and program support services assure that safety precautions were implemented Over 150 Hosted Siteman Cancer Center Mammogram Mobile volunteers community partners and donors took time out Provided photo op with Santa and Mrs Clause of their busy schedules to give back to the community at this Distributed boxes of childrens books event Safety procedures were again reviewed and tweaked Raffled prizes donated from local businesses The winter coats and accessories station is one of the most popular throughout the entire event In 2021 there were approximately 1 850 winter accessories collected to give away to attendees 36 more than 2020 Left overs were donated to the Moose Lodge of St Charles which distributed the items to the tornado victims in Kentucky Partners 9

Events Gun and Knife Shows The SCCC hosted six shows in 2021 between RK and Midwest Arms Collectors Products in this area remain in high demand These shows typically hold events on lower demand dates Attendance for each show averaged 5 560 people This is up 650 per show over 2020 2022 looks to be another strong year with these shows Vintage Market Days VMD New to the SCCC in 2021 this upscale market featuring art clothing home decor and more allows each vendor to display their talents and skills in a creative way VMD held a spring and fall show at the SCCC along with food truck options The spring show opened to lines snaking around the building with a total three day attendance of 10 794 people This was followed up with a fall show with an increased attendance of 14 273 VMD has two shows contracted for 2022 Talent on Parade TOP The St Louis Regional danced and sang its way back into the SCCC in April with approximately 6 000 attendees 2021 was the 12th straight year the group has been with the center TOP hosts a few different events at the SCCC each year with the St Louis Regional being the largest Talent on Parade has already been contracted for 2022 12

Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association Boat Show This is another long standing event put on by the Lake of the Ozark Marine Dealers Association This was the only St Louis area boat show in 2021 Demand was extremely high for fun on the water in 2021 and this show s attendance registered just over 8 062 people in just over four days Missouri Cannabis Expo Joining us for the first time at the SCCC this educational event rolled into town to cover a variety of topics including licensing growing selling and production strategies for the cannabis industry The SCCC is looking to bring this back in future years as they continue to grow and expand Working Women s Survival Show WWSS 2021 marked the 14th straight year this event has been held at the SCCC Attendance dipped in 2021 to just over 5 200 people This did not keep the 154 vendors from putting on a great event with offerings from local wineries bakeries clothing boutiques and more Working Women s Survival Show will continue the tradition into 2023 and beyond The Home Builders Association Home Shows The Home Builders Association of St Louis and Eastern Missouri host two shows annually at the SCCC The Builders St Charles Home Garden Show and The Builders Home Remodeling Show Combined these two shows bring in more than 20 000 visitors from our neighboring communities 13

OUR Partners HOSPITALITY PARTNERS The St Charles MO hospitality industry consists of sixteen limited service hotels and three full service hotels with combined inventory of more than 2 400 rooms Of the nineteen area hotels eight are within one mile of the Convention Center The staff at the Convention Center continues to foster relationships with these hospitality partners to secure business for the facility and surrounding industry partners and while providing additional marketing support for the facility and events GREATER ST CHARLES CONVENTION VISITORS BUREAU EMBASSY SUITES ST LOUIS ST CHARLES HOTEL Spectra and the Greater St Charles Convention and Visitors The attached Embassy Suites Hotel is an all suite 296 room Bureau CVB work in tandem to solicit the best business facility managed by Atrium Hospitality and is connected to for the facility Their combined goals are to earn revenue the Convention Center on both the upper and lower levels for the center bring in out of town guests generate room This attached property has proven valuable in attracting nights for local hotels and customers for local businesses groups needing large flexible meeting space with an maximizing the overall economic impact to the City of St adjacent full service hotel Spectra and Embassy Suites staff Charles and St Charles County work together to secure business that utilizes space at both properties CVB and Convention Center representatives commonly attend trade shows and events together are involved in FAM trips and attend site tours of the facility for long term business prospecting and booking 20

SPONSORS ADVERTISERS OTHER PARTNERS In an effort to better serve our clients we have forged relationships with a variety of business partners Many of these sponsors provide direct product offerings signage exposure and additional marketing support for the facility and events PARTNERS WITH FLAVOR As we embark on new ventures with clients and events the Director of Food and Beverage created opportunities to bring more flavor into the Saint Charles Convention Center by creating partnerships with local restaurants that have great products to offer We have established agreements with these organizations to enable them to sell their products inside the SCCC utilizing their own specialized staff and equipment The partnerships create additional revenue opportunities for the facility without having to increase staffing or food costs 21

2022 And Beyond The Convention Center begain 2022 with 3 8M in business on the books and 2 21M for 2023 An increase of 540K and 244K respectively over the same time last year Catering menus went through a complete overhaul with updated offerings and pricing which will allow the sales and catering team to achieve goals set for 2022 For two years the pandemic has redefined the way people live work and meet Keeping this in mind the 2022 budget was developed while still adapting to the ever changing pandemic environment Throughout the years the SCCC has employed a strong leadership team that applies best practices and a drive to be successful for all clients and the St Charles community The installation of AtmosAir and UV C technologies perpetuates the fact that the SCCC is a safe place to meet Going in to 2022 revenue goals were developed using the following event mix The property s proximity to the airport fewer than eleven minutes with 2 400 hotel rooms within one mile and the perception of the Midwest as a safe place to visit continues to make St Charles a very competitive destination Conventions 1 914 800 or 26 Banquets 1 394 700 or 19 Consumer shows 1 394 316 or 19 Meetings 1 205 250 or 16 Special events 627 790 or 9 Trade shows 778 301 or 11 Further evidenced by the RiverPointe project that is taking shape in St Charles the SCCC markets the destination s history blossoming wine county and friendly people as the complete package In 2022 Oak View Group OVG started the process of merging Spectra under the OVG Facilities family This process is slated to be completed in early 2022 This merger will leverage both companies strengths to navigate future space and revenue needs As of January 1 2022 the SCCC boosted 17 461 definite room nights with another 24 000 in tentative and firm status With the overall average booking window for all events just under 200 days prior to arrival focus will be on contracting events to fill in open dates as the SCCC looks to continue increasing occupancy from the past two years With this in mind the SCCC is experiencing a lift in bookings that mirror pre pandemic levels This is especially evident in the Convention and Trade Show segments with several multi day conventions and meetings that bring room nights into the community and revenue to support the building 22
