FROM OUR LEADERSHIP Dear Friends of the NACCC and the Congregational Way One of the most interesting accounts from the letters of Paul see I Corinthians 16 1 4 Romans 15 14 21 is the reference to the collection Paul gathered for the relief of the Church in Jerusalem He made his appeal to the churches around the Mediterranean Sea and designated it for the needy group of believers in Jerusalem That was an example of mutual fellowship and support among the early Christian communities With the help and support of our member churches the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches NACCC seeks to follow that same path of mutual help as we work to provide ministry assistance to all of our congregations Truly the NACCC desires to foster fellowship among the churches of the Association and to support the ministries of its member churches We constantly evaluate what the NACCC does and how it is done so that the NACCC can serve our local member churches in the best way possible In all of our conversations about the NACCC we are guided by our Mission and Vision Statements We want to share some of the accomplishments of the past year Each year the leadership of the NACCC hopes to build attendance at the Annual Meeting and Conference AMC Two groups are working toward this goal The AMC Committee in cooperation with the Host Committee provides a slate of workshops and other events to make each AMC a positive experience The Annual Meeting Accessibility task team is casting a vision for the future of this meeting With the restructuring of the NACCC a few years ago a position of Year Round Delegate was initiated to help provide stronger communication with our member churches and the Association The NACCC is focusing on strengthening and improving this program One of the most visible introductions to the NACCC is our website A task team is in place and has begun work evaluating the current site and seeking ways to improve both the design and flow of information It is our privilege to join with you as we work together to support one another It is good to come together to serve God and to advance the Congregational Way Jim Waechter NACCC Moderator Rev Dr Michael Chittum NACCC Congregational Foundation Executive Director NACCC Annual Report 2019 www naccc org 3 A group has been working this past fiscal year and will continue into our next fiscal year to ensure that the Center for Congregational Leadership is functioning as well and as fully as possible to provide for the best ministry and support services for our member churches
