ST. BRENDAN HIGH SCHOOL4Dear Sabre Nation, On behalf of the entire school community of St. Brendan High School, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude for your contributions to the 2018-2019 Annual Fund. Last year, we fulfilled goals that would not have been possible without your support. Every year brings new challenges. Hurricane Dorian brought devastation to many. As a school community, we collected funds and prayed for peace and safety for all those affected. I am proud of our students as they continue to grow in faith through love and action. It is through love and generosity that great things happen. This year’s theme is “Happening Here and Now.” Great things are happening throughout the world, in our daily lives, and here at St. Brendan High School. This year we remodeled our cafeteria and the kitchen, we bought new furniture and hired a management company. The students are enjoying delicious and healthy meals. We built a new drop-off/pick-up area that will ensure the safety of our students. We also reached an important milestone when our football team played their very first game on campus under Friday Night lights! A new track and state-of-the-art baseball/softball fields have recently been completed. I invite you all to be attentive this year to all the great things happening in your life and in your families. Christ is present in our daily lives, within ourselves and others. Your generosity has touched the hearts of our school community and will continue to do so for many years to come. We ask that you keep us in your prayers as we will continue to keep you in ours. May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly. Sincerely yours in Christ, Jose Rodelgo-Bueno, PhDPrincipalJose Rodelgo-Bueno, PhDLETTER FROM THEPRINCIPAL

ST. BRENDAN HIGH SCHOOL8Dear Sabre Community, On behalf of the Development Office, it is with great pleasure that I write to report on St. Brendan High School’s fiscal year ending June 2019. During this pivotal year of expansion, our community came together and made great strides that deserve to be recognized. The many contributions received in time, talent and resources provided exceptional opportunities for our students to both learn and grow. We are deeply grateful to all of our supporters listed in this Annual Report of Giving. Their actions underscore a commitment to St. Brendan’s institutional needs. Last year’s Sabre Fund received $180,547 for the period of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. This total represented a 5% increase over the previous year. Many thanks to all of our Parent Ambassadors, Faculty, Staff and Administration who supported our efforts during the year. A special thank you is extended to the Development and Alumni Relations team of Steve Piscitelli, Tracey Taylor and Sydney Anazco ’13 for all your support. Several of last year’s initiatives deserve to be celebrated. The #GivingTuesday social media mini-campaign raised over $13,000 and ranked St. Brendan first in total dollars raised out of all participating Archdiocesan schools. Peter Pan, Jr. was dedicated to Operation Pedro Pan citizens, and taught our students valuable lessons in bravery and international relations. Finally, last year’s B Capital Campaign was launched and we began to receive meaningful pledges to help fund new construction on campus. We are excited to think about the improvements these gifts will provide, and we look forward to meeting with more Sabre families in the coming year.Looking forward to 2019-2020, we ask for your philanthropic support so that we may continue to expand our curriculum, grow in faith and enhance our learning environment. At the time of this publication, Sabre Fund contributions from over 222 families have already totaled nearly $104,000. We invite you to invest in our students and our future by sending in your contribution using the envelope provided. Thank you for your past and future support of St. Brendan High School. We proudly recognize and honor the following contributors whose outstanding generosity and charitable spirit demonstrates a commitment to ensuring the finest level of Catholic education available. Best Regards,Michael J. McCabe, MBADevelopment DirectorMichael J. McCabe, MBALETTER FROM THEDEVELOPMENTDIRECTOR

ST. BRENDAN HIGH SCHOOL24Dear Alumni, A special thanks to all the alumni who contributed to the 2018 - 2019 St. Brendan High School Annual Fund. Your willingness to give back to your alma mater is deeply appreciated. What we have accomplished over the last few years is simply amazing. It is wonderful to see so many alumni back on campus who have attended one of our new networking events or simply returned for a tour of the campus. Having alumni connect with one another is a great way to build our Sabre community. Beginning my 44th year teaching, I am so glad that I am still at St. Brendan High School during this time of transformation. When I see alumni enjoying our new facilities and expanding athletic program, I can’t help but smile and feel a sense of joy. St. Brendan High School will always be a home away from home to over 10,000 alumni. The word is out that St. Brendan High School is now one of the truly premier private schools in Miami-Dade County. Sabre spirit has never been stronger and our school is now a showcase of spiritual, academic and athletic excellence. Help us continue this amazing journey by giving to the 2019 - 2020 Sabre Fund. I am confident that this year we can not only exceed our goal but also crush it! Your donation will truly make a difference. Thank you for your continued support of St. Brendan High School and for being a part of something special. Go Sabres!Warmest regards,Steve Piscitelli, MPAAlumni DirectorLaw & Global Business Academy DirectorSteve Piscitelli, MPALETTER FROM THEALUMNIDIRECTOR
