    Dr. Regine Mfoumou
Rhema Resource Centre
celebrated its fifth birthday in
September and so many
things have happened
showing that God is in control
in our lives. He orchestrates
all the events in a perfect way,
as long as we are willing to
obey Him and let Him lead us
to His green pasture. Nothing
happens by chance for those
who love God.
This issue is the last for the
year 2017. At Rhema RC, we
experienced healing,
restoration, anointing and the
fulfilment of God’s promises in
different aspects of our lives.
Yes, when you trust Jesus,
you can truly experience the
truth of the Gospel’s
promises. Both in
London and in Haiti, Rhema
RChas grown spiritually
enabling every member of our
church to go through personal
growth and revival, including in
our families. God is very faithful:
the church has indeed focused on
how to build a personal
relationship with God as
individuals. And, as we all tried,
Jesus led us to higher levels. We
are now eager to find out what the
future holds for us in our walk with
the Lord because we have all
understood that you cannot have
a good relationship with someone
you don’t know, if you don’t know
their expectation of you or what
really matters for them.
The more you know Jesus, the
closer you are to Him then you
will be able to learn from Him,
hear Him and be transformed.In
the pages to follow, you will find
out what the Lord has been doing
with us and learn from the
manifestation of His mighty power
expressed through different
people in Rhema RC, in London
and in Haiti.
May you be inspired
to have a greater faith in
your walk with the Lord
and abide in Him to grow
and become a vessel He
can use for His glory. Stay
blessed in Jesus’ name.

Wait on the moment and the hour of God! (Habakkuk
2:3) During your expectation, always be happy and
contented with what God has given you (Philippians
4:11).
Many Christians are impatient and underestimate the
benefits of walking with Christ. Today, God wants to make
a call. He is calling each one of us by our names at a
specific time, for a specific purpose. The big question we
must ask ourselves individually is: why does God call us?
The Lord is calling us to follow Him, to serve Him, to
testify of His greatness, His goodness, His righteousness
and His holiness because we are His ambassadors on
earth. God does not call all kinds of people: He looks at
our hearts and thoughts and chooses those who are
willing to do His will and walk in the fear of His holy name.
That is why, once He calls a person, He sets that person
apart to entrust them with a very specific mission. Thus,
He gives them the means needed and gifts to accomplish
His plan on earth.
Brothers and sisters, very often, we are in a hurry. We
take the lead and go ahead of the Lord in the vision or
mission He has entrusted us with. Today, He is asking us
to wait on Him, to be patient and to remain silent because
He wants to prepare us in secret: Joseph spent 13 years
in prison; Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness and our
Lord Jesus Himself spent 30 years before starting His
public ministry. Wait on God!
This shows us the importance of always waiting
for the moment of God. Of course, this does not
mean that we should cross our arms (without
doing anything): to acquire the knowledge of God
and the spiritual maturity to serve God accurately,
we need to go through a long process of learning
and just like any child, move from childhood to
teenage and from teenage to adulthood. During
these transitions that lead to the age of maturity,
our attitude towards life situations will very often
change. That is why some of the things that can
make a child whim when they are not given what
they want will not be a problem to an adult
anymore.
The same goes for our spiritual life: it must evolve
as much as our attitude, our way of living.
Basically this development takes place when we
start trusting our Lord for everything with the firm
assurance (faith) that He will certainly act... In
short, when you truly have faith in God, waiting on
Him will no longer be a problem for you.
Wait on God !

Following Jesus Christ is a very long walk.
Sometimes it seems as if we are all alone on
the paths of lives well, when we forget that
Jesus is never far from us who have already
accepted Him as our Lord and Saviour. And
most importantly, we should always
remember that Jesus spent quite a lot of
time on the streets, talking to people,
encouraging people, healing the sick,
casting out demons and just showing love.
However, nowadays, owing to the comfort of
church buildings and the complexity many
church leaders impose on their ministry,
street evangelism or even street preaching
have become scarce, not to say outcast.
When Jesus was on earth, He paved the
way for us to have a brighter future by
establishing His Church (Matthew 16:18)
before the Cross. Doing so, Jesus did not
build a local, huge red-carpeted and marble
decorated hall that He called ‘Church’. He
established a church that is invisible, but
visible on and through His followers. And
when He finished,
He gave his disciples the commission to go
and make more disciples by perpetuating what
they had learnt from Him (Matthew 28:16-20).
The way was paved for our future as
Christians to be bright by the Master Himself.
Now, as His followers, are we doing our very
best to pass the torch for the Church of Christ
to continue brightening futures? So many lives
and souls are destroyed out there and we see
them on the streets, in our neighbourhood, in
our families, etc Are we comfortable in our
local church so much that we have forgotten to
reach out to those who are in need of salvation
too? Jesus Christ is returning soon He has
called us, set us apart and made us whole
again so that we can be instruments He can
use to pave the way for brighter futures let’s
all give our very best in the Great Commission
to empty the world of souls that Jesus is
counting as His but are still lost because many
believers are not stepping on the territory of
the enemy (physically or spiritually) to do their
part by winning souls, despite the power of the
Holy Spirit that dwells in them and the authority
they were given by Jesus.

Paving The Way For Brighter Futures
Svein Berge
Senior Pastor of Rhema RC
Today, Christ is the life, the 'zoe' life, which is
translated in the Bible to describe the divine
life we have in Him. According to John 14:6
(American King James Version) 'Jesus said: I
am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
comes to the Father, but by me.'
This life (zoe) that is active and at work, not
only in our spirit, but also in our body, is
actually resurrection life. This life (zoe) is the
life through which we were made alive with
Christ. We now participate in this resurrection
life with its infinite power, not only for the spirit,
but also for the body. We can now set our
trust and our faith in this resurrection life and
its power. We can set our faith in this
indwelling resurrection life for our spirit, for our
bodily energizing and miracle healing, as well
as for our freedom from the power and
dominion of sin. Romans 8:2 (American King
James Version) says: 'For the Spirit of life
(zoe) in Christ Jesus has made me free from
the law of sin and death. For if, when we were
reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, being reconciled, we shall be
saved his life (zoe.)'
True life is found in Jesus Christ
We are now saved from the dominion of
sin, death and sickness through the power
of His resurrection life (zoe) in us. We are
'saved by His life.' Christ is the vine, we are
the branches. The life and sap of the vine
is the life (zoe) of Christ in us and we are
branches that were grafted into the vine.
Jesus Christ Himself is the vine. The fruit is
found on the branches.
We must give up our own struggle to try to
produce fruit. Then we must set our trust in
the vine (Christ) and in the life (zoe) of the
vine to produce fruits through us, the
branches. This is what is meant by "abide
in me". If we start trying to produce fruits in
our own energy and power, we don't 'abide
in Him', and consequently, we don't bear
fruit: John 15:5 says: "I am the the vine,
you are the branches: He that stays in me,
and I in him, the same brings forth much
fruit: for without me you can do nothing."

'Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of my
people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David
your Father; ‘I have heard your prayer, I have
seen your tears surely I will heal you’ (2 Kings
20:5).
Hezekiah and Jerusalem were in serious
trouble, their righteous King who had kept his
people united under God was sick and near
death; his Assyrian enemies were waiting to
hear the news that he had died so they could
storm and sack Jerusalem and steal their
wealth, enslave and slaughter their people.
The prophet Isaiah went to see the King to
deliver the bad news that he must put his
affairs in order because he was going to die.
What a time to die! Who would defend the city
from its enemies? What would become of
Jerusalem? Would it come under a yoke of
oppression?
Thank God that Hezekiah believed and trusted
in the Lord. We must all learn to believe and
trust in the Lord when situations and
circumstances look hopeless. History proves
that a nation in prayer will receive the Lord's
blessings and protection: Britain in 1940, Israel
in 1967
 Pastor Michael Cummins
Deliverance Minister          
God never breaks His promises
they prayed and sought the Lord and He ensured
victory over demonic powers of darkness.
Hezekiah turned to the wall and cried out and
prayed to the Lord and reminded God of his
righteous life and his loyalty to everything that the
Lord called him to do. The Lord heard the cry of
the righteous King and two mighty miracles took
place. Do we still believe in miracles?
Well, we should because the Bible is full of them
and Jesus loves us and will never forsake us. God
was moved with compassion when He heard the
King’s cries and promised to heal him. If you read
the chapter till the end, you will see that God did
not give Hezekiah a temporary reprieve: He gave
the King a further 15 years of life. Besides, the
Assyrian army was 185,000 strong but they were
no match for God's Holy angel who descended
with mighty power against the enemies of God's
people and killed them all.
The lesson we all should learn is that God
defended Hezekiah and Jerusalem and upheld the
promises He had made to King David in Isaiah 9: "
Unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given"
and He is the eternal King over David's throne and
people. God never breaks His promises and we
who have received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour
are living under all of God's promises. AMEN.

I'd firstly like to thank God for giving me the opportunity and providing me with the
skills and inspiration to design this magazine again. Zachariah 4:6 says, it's - 'Not by
might nor by power, but by my Spirit,'
Since summer 2016, Rhema RC team, including myself, were able to share our
testimonies of what the Lord had done for us, and reach out to people around London
to raise awareness of Rhema Club and our activities in Gonaives (Haiti). Our
organisation visited the Haitian children in hospitals and young families who
needed support in different ways. We raised funds, everyday necessities and
toys which were donated to the youths and children on 24th December 2016.
I also thank the Lord for enabling me to meet the right people who were willing to
help us achieve our goals towards this huge mission.
Be blessed, in Jesus' name.

Today's passage says this: "I have
considered my ways and have turned my
steps to your statutes. I will hasten and not
delay to obey your commands." My brother,
my sister, have you ever been concerned
about a health issue (for yourself or a loved
one), looked up the symptoms on the
Internet to try and diagnose the condition or
visited a health professional to get a
professional diagnosis? You see, even if you
are perfectly healthy, it is recommended to
have periodic check-ups with doctors and
dentists to help you take care of your
physical health. Now, the same applies to
our faith and walk with Christ. Why?
Because regular reflection on how we are
performing spiritually in the light of the Word
of God will help us see where our faith is
and what steps we need to take to remedy
any areas of weakness to become stronger
spiritually. The Bible shows us through many
verses that God encourages us to look
inward in order to identify areas of weakness
so that we can address them.
Now, the year 2017 is about to finish and
many believers are angry, frustrated,
discouraged, disoriented... My question is
simple: why have you allowed the whole
year to run without stopping a minute to self-
examine yourself?
Because God cannot make a mistake and
His plans for you throughout this year
were not plans for you to feel desperate
but "plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future"
(Jeremiah 29:11).
My friend, if you are in a situation that
makes you feel lost at the moment, check
yourself first as the Bible advises us:
"Examine yourselves to see whether you
are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you
not realize that Christ Jesus is in you
—unless, of course, you fail the test?" (2
Corinthians 13:5). You see, most of the
time the believers think they know too
much. Not understanding the things of
God will make you miss the targets of
God for your life.
Maybe, it is time to be real with yourself:
the targets of God for your life are in His
Word and they are linked to His principles.
If you don't apply His principles with faith,
it will be difficult for you to walk in faith.
Let's look at some of these principles so
that we can correct and address them if
we missed them now in order to finish the
year without missing our blessings or
positioning to get all that the Lord has in
store for us in 2017.
R E A D M O R E D A I L Y M E D I T A T I O N S - W W W . R H E M A - R C . C O M O R V I S I T O U R F A C E B O O K
It's time to self-examine ourspirituallives(Psalm 119:59-60)
Sadly, many believers who pray for financial
blessings and a breakthrough are those who
have also been neglecting His principles of
giving in faith.
The Bible says: "You should remember the
words of the Lord Jesus: 'It is more blessed to
give than to receive'" (Acts 20:35). Yes, for
the widow of Zareptha to be blessed, she first
had to give to the man of God (1 Kings 17:7-
16); for Abraham to be blessed with a child
despite God's promise, He first gave to
strangers, not knowing they were angels
(Genesis 18:2-8); For Abraham to be blessed
with material, He first gave a tenth of his
gains to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18).
My friend, when you don't self-examine your
faith in the living God, you are just like a
young woman who fornicated (had sex out of
marriage) and knowing that, she neglects the
symptoms she feels in her womb until one
day she finds out she is pregnant... so, when
you self-examine yourself, remember that
because of what Jesus did on the Cross we
are no longer condemned and the only thing
the Lord expects today is: "Let us examine
our ways and test them, and let us return to
the Lord." (Lamentations 3:40).
Stay Blessed, in Jesus' name.
By Dr Regine Mfoumou.
The Bible tells us to seek God's kingdom first
and His righteousness (Matthew 6:25-34) and
everything else shall be added to us. Have you
succeeded in this target this year or have you
missed it? Let's go into details with at least two
targets that easily be corrected. The Bible
says: "And let us not neglect our meeting
together, as some people do, but encourage
one another, especially now that the day of his
return is drawing near" (Hebrews 10:25). Is
your attendance at work or school or outgoings
100% (except for when justified) while your
attendance at church meeting is less? Check
yourself and consider what Jesus who
established the Church thinks about it. Another
target we can check is the principles of giving,
because this is a real issue for many believers
of Christ, yet they continuously ask God to give
them.
Have you given more towards worldly things,
to your loved ones, to yourself (buying clothes,
food, travelling, going out, etc...) while your
balance of giving back to God through
offerings and tithing is less than 10% of what
you have earned throughout the year?
Be honest with yourself, because the Lord
does not joke and He is calling you a robber if
you don't apply His Word: "Will a mere mortal
rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, ‘How
are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings.
You are under a curse..." (Malachi 3:8-9).
