Outings A wealth of planned events and trips are available, from themed dinner nights, wine tastings, lectures, musical performances, and outings to local attractions and Washington D.C., just to name a few. Activities Regular activities include movie night, bible study, lunches, lectures on Shakespeare and other stimulating topics, hall coffees, and much more. CLUBS There is a club for virtually any interest you might have, including gardening, yoga, art, sewing, mahjong, bridge, and singing. Our ability to provide a full continuum of care under one roof provides our residents with an unmistakable peace of mind. Assisted living The Terrace at Knollwood offers 42 private apartments for residents who need assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and medication management. Our dedicated, licensed nursing professionals work to help residents maintain their independence while supporting their individual care needs. Independent living The Hall, our vibrant independent living community, is home to approximately 200 residents who enjoy the freedom and community spirit of apartment living without the concerns of home maintenance, cleaning, meal preparation and safety. Apartments range in size from studios to two-bedrooms plus den and balcony, and all feature full kitchens, washer/dryers, emergency response systems and much more. Nursing care The Health Services Center at Knollwood provides 24-hour care for individuals in need of long-term care, rehabilitation and skilled nursing. The Center caters to residents who need full care but may not require cognitive therapies offered at the Special Care Center. Admission to the Health Services Center and Special Care Center is open to the public, although priority is given to current residents of Knollwood. Direct admission to the assisted living and skilled nursing centers is permitted but rare, as current residents have priority when vacancies occur. Q. Are there Bank Services on site? A. The Resident Living Assistant can cash small checks on site, and also makes weekly trips to local banks. Q. Does Knollwood allow pets? A.
