Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, and his full name was Walter Elias Disney. He went to Chicago Art Istitute for a few years, but then he dropped out to join the army. They did not allow him to join, because he was too young. In 1922, Disney and Iwerks started their own small studio. Disney decided to introduce Mickey Mouse using two soundless movies. He also went ahead and animated a third movie full of voices and music. In the end, he did not produce the first two movies, but he decided to produce the last one. When Steamboat Willie was produced in 1928, it was a sensation. After that he got more and more successful in later animations. He eventually animated Snow White, the first fully animated movie in the history of animation. Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966 in Burbank, California.
