"What do you want?"She asked with an annoyed look.
"We're here to talk to Mr. Caulder." I said.
"Sorry, he's busy right now. Come back later." She said. Just as I was about to say something, a tall man walked up to the desk.
"I heard my name?" He said.
"Oh yes," I said, "we came here to talk to you about something, but apparently you're busy."
"I'm not busy at all." He said. I looked over at the receptionist and she rolled her eyes.
"Great!" I said. Then he led us to the elevator. Just as we were about to walk into his office I heard a familiar voice calling me. I looked over the balcony to see the receptionist waving at me annoyed.
"Oh, right." I replied. I grabbed the phone out of my pocket, and that very instant, I threw it off the balcony and watched the phone break apart right beside where she stood. "Oops! I hope you had insurance." I said. Then walked into the office.
"How may I help you?" Mr. Caulder asked while sitting down.
"Mr. Caulder..." My partner began to say.
"Please, call me Jack." He interrupted.
"Jack, we're here to talk about Mason Fields." I said.
"It's such a shame what happened." He said with almost too much sincerity.
"You already know? Evan asked.
"News spreads like wildfire in business. It's like you already know about something before it even happens." He said.
"And how is that?" He asked.
"The way you said that. It makes it seem like you know something." I SAID.
"Wait, are you here to accuse me of something?" He asked getting serious.
"No of course not. I was just saying what is sounded like." I stated.
"Okay, well it sounded like you were accusing me.: He said with a questioning look. '
"We're just here to ask some questions." Evan stepped in.
"Alright, well hopefully I have some answers." He said as he got a little less serious.
"Okay, so, I heard you guys were competing for Apple as a client. What was that about?" Evan asked.
"Oh, same ol', same ol'. Just a friendly competition between two companies." He replied.
"Really?" I said. "It wounded like you guys were in pretty deep with battling for the investment."
"Well, that's what the news does." He said.
"Okay, how well do you know Mr. Fields/" Evan asked.
"Not that well. I think I've only met him one time." He answered.
"Well, is there any reason that your company's logo was painted on the wall of the murder scene?" I asked.
"What?" He said confused.
"your company's logo was spray painted on the wall of the crime scene. Any reason for that?" I questioned him.
"I have no idea why that was there." He said.
"So how do you explain..." Evan started saying before I cut him off.
"Thank you for your time," I said, "we'll be leaving." I said quickly. I walked out of the room followed by my partner.
"What was that about?" He asked.
"You'll see." I said. We got out of the elevator and walked out the door. I drove back to the station and found Wilson on the computer playing games.
"Find any new information?" I said, startling him. He quickly x's out of the game and went to his research page.
