Operation Wish Book is a community based project
designed to enable less fortunate children to receive
new books for Christmas. You can contribute books
through your child's school book orders in November.
• Simply order one or more extra books.
• Your child's teacher will donate your book to
Operation Wish Book and return the form to you as
your receipt.
• Please donate books by November 18th.
Books are distributed through the Salvation Army in
time for Christmas.
Children who read, succeed
Children who give,
learn to be generous.

Pick-Up/Drop-off
This students-only event on November 17th is a time
for Hawthorne Hawks to showcase the manners
they’ve been working on in the lunchroom.
We’ll have special table settings, beautiful
live music, and a Thanksgiving meal.
Students are invited to wear their finest if
they wish (be sure to wear appropriate
shoes for PE and recess).
Parents and guardians, we love it when you come to
enjoy lunch with your children. On this day, however,
we won’t have the space to accommodate guests.
This is a students-only event. Thank you for your
understanding.

Lost & Found
Is it warm? Yes! Is it chilly? Yes! This is fall in Idaho.
It's chilly in the morning when we come to school,
but it's been warming up during the day. When this
happens, our students often take off their jackets and
they get left behind on the playground. Our lost and
found is stuffed full. Please come in and check out
the lost and found for familiar items and encourage
your children to look when they are at school.
After school on November 18th our lost and found
will be cleaned out. Please pick up your items from
lost and found before it's too cold and too late.
