Once there was a wily pog

That sat upon the skrilly bog

Eating frats and wilken fog

Until the sun set north of Throg.

A pog is a large bird-like creature that can be found north of Throg in the bogs of Sunderland. It eats wilken fog that rises above the quagmire 1/2 hour before sunset. It builds its nest in Sengemore pines and typically has one offspring (known as a poglet) in early April of each year.  The pog feeds its offspring fresh frat plucked from the mud found on the bottom of quaggy ponds.
