Kindness Elves in First Grade!
Two Kindness Elves, Jingle and Jolly, have been spending time in our classroom. These elves have been encouraging the students to spread kindness. Each morning, the elves leave a note with a suggestion for spreading kindness OR the elves show kindness to the kids by leaving a small treat. The children have really been learning about the importance of kindness.
Giving and receiving gifts is one fun part of the holiday season. On Friday, December 16th we will be having a book exchange in our classroom.
Each child needs to bring in one wrapped book. We will exchange the books as part of a game and the recipient of your child's book will be chosen randomly according to the outcome of the game. Because of this, it is important that the book is appropriate for both boys and girls. Please send the wrapped book into school by Wednesday, December 14th.
December 15-Dress Down Day!
December 16-Holiday concert at 8:30 (children should wear "holiday best" clothes), First Grade Holiday party, noon dismissal
