Matt Groening was born on February 15, 1954, in Portland, Oregon. He was always a very artistic child and loved to draw funny sketches. He attended Evergreen college and was the school paper editor. He moved to Los Angeles in 1973 and created a comic strip called “A Life In Hell.” Then he and a fellow animator made shorts for The Tracey Ullman show, and from those shorts the Simpsons was born. Matt has had two wifes with one he had two children, and the other was just recently married a fellow artist artist Agustina Picasso. He made many great cartoons he made the popular futurama in 1999 and the the longest running show on tv to date The Simpsons in 1989, the Simpsons movie in 2007, The longest daycare (a simpsons movie/short), Futurama Bender's Big Score in 2007.
