The Great Plains is a flat grassy area where travalers go west. in the Great Plains their are Pioneers, Buffalo, Native Americans, Exodusters, Gold Rush, and the Homestead act and more.

The Great Plains 

But the problom is that when it is summer, than the crops die because there is not alot of water to plant or drink

 The Homestead act 

The Homestead act is a law that said that if you work on it for five years, than you get 160 acerds of land

the native americans live in large opend spaces like the great plainds. they do every thing on that land to survive. but when the settlers arrive, the native americans are having a hard time because the settlers are forcing them off there land.
