Ken Muse was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 28, 1925. He first put pencil to paper at the tender age of five. At the age of twelve he took a mail order correspondence course through the Landon School of Cartooning and Illustrating. When he was about to attend Northeastern High School, Ken created comic strips for the school newspaper. From his graduation he enrolled in Detroit’s Meinzinger School of Art. During World War II he trained as a pilot and a medic in the Army, healing wounded soldiers in war.. Ken served in France and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was later than an animator.
He was most popular as animating Tom and Jerry.
How Kenneth Muse Came To Be
Well I chose Kenneth Muse because, growing up I watched Tom and Jerry, and I wondered who created these characters. Plus, I have heard about Kenneth Muse a thousand times in my life. I even did a project on him in elementary school. Why he is considered as an animation Pioneer? Well he was in most of the famous little kid shows. Such as, The Smurfs, The Flintstones, Charlottes Web, Pac-Man, and a whole bunch more!
Why I chose?
Kenneth Muse was born on July 26, 1910. He was a normal kid through his life, until at age 5 he started drawing (1915). Until then he didnt know what animation was until he got older. He graduated from college, wanting to take his career to an animation studio. He first got started on Paw Paws(1985) then he started to do more animation such as, The Smurfs(1981), The Flintstones(1960)Puss Gets The Boot, Which was from Tom and Jerry first starting(1940), They're is a whole bunch more of famous animating shows he had done. But he died at July 26, 1987.
