Some people traveling west had obstacles to pass like rivers. Rivers were very hard to pass because the water was deep so some people drowned. Then they had to pass rocky mountains because some of the had snow so they were hard to go up or around. Some people that passed the mountains had trails for other people so they could guide them.
Obstacles While Traveling
The Transcontinetal Railroad was a train that made a faster way for people to good west and made it faster to take cash crops like wheat, corn,etc. Flour Milling became common as well as meat processing in Chicago. Farmers started to make money too. The Transcontinetal Railroad had some routes that attracted people to go west. They put cash crops like wheat to the Flour Mill to makes wheat into flour, and made hogs and cattle into hops of meat.
