A Leaf A leaf is a twirling ballerina Dancing to its heart s content and as its soft tutu glimmered with the color of sunset It pirouettes down Then following the path of the wind It travels around new to the land Dancing as it goes And as the ground covered with pure white flakes It quietly fades away Closing its soft happy eyes with a twinge of sadness It watches the trees grow many new ballerinas To start the cycle again

The Rainbow It was a long time ago I have almost forgotten my dream by Langston Hughes from the poem As I Grew Older Nothing could beat it for it was all the reflections of a sun The endless stretch of colors was as long as time itself Fading and appearing a long time or a while ago every day I wish for rain and sunlight to have come in this day for I have almost forgotten that it has visited me and spoke to me in my wonderful and unforgettable dream
