        Early Life for James Madison

 

 James Madison was born in Port Conway,Virginia. He was born on March 16,1751. His parents were James Madison Sr. and Nellie Conway Madison. He was the oldest of 12 children. Most of his siblings died at a young age beacause of sickness. James too was a sick child , but he was bright in school. And later went to the college of New Jersey.

Fun Fact: James Madison's Mother-Nellie Conway's father had Port Conway named after him.

 

 Role in the Revolution

James Madison was a dedicated Patriot. He was part a member of the Continetal Congress. He followed Thomas Jefferson as a leader. He played a role in the U.S. Constitution and Presidency during the War of 1812. He also was a hard - working Patriot.

Fun Fact: James Madison was the youngest member of the Continental Congress.

 

 

  • James Madison helped write the draft of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

 

  • He helped extend permit on the Bank of United States to create funds for the war of 1812.

 

  • Had wrote Federalist papers

 

  • He had delivered as 4th president from 1809-1817

 

  • Had a college named after him - James madison University
