Anne Frank had to deal with several restrictions including not being able to go to school, not being able to go anywhere, and she could not ride her bike or go in a car. If I was in this situation and had to deal with these restrictions, I would have to find something that interests me that I could do at home. For instance, I would get a lot of books and paper to do some reading and writing while I was not allowed to do or go anywhere else. It would bother me a lot not being able to go anywhere, but I would never go against these restrictions because of all the terrible things that could happen to me if I was caught going against rules. Also, I would have to find an activity that gave me exercise, since I would have to turn my bike in. It would be hard living with these limitations, but it’s better than what would happen if I didn't do what I was told.
Although I would like to have been a protector like Miep or Mr. Kraler and help a scared family, I do not believe that I could have done what they were able to do. I would feel unsafe having to help a Jewish family. I would never know who was watching me and if I was found, my punishments. I could be put in a concentration camp or even killed for helping them. I feel that I would not be able to act as though I was not hiding such a big secret. I would not be able to live with the fact that if I was found, I could be putting an innocent family into danger as well. I would much rather have the Jewish families be helped by people who are more confident then a girl like me.

- Dear Friend,
- The last quote that is in the diary says, “In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart”. This tells us that Anne has a good heart and brings out the best in everything and everyone. For example, she talks to Peter about nature like it’s the most amazing thing in the world. She tries to bring him out of his daze of being sad and mad at the world because of what they are put through. Anne knows Peter is a better person than how he is acting now, so she tries helping him by showing how amazing the world is outside the building they're hiding in. This quote is important to show how good of a person Anne was. It’s important for people not to remember her as the nosy, annoying child, but as the mature, full of heart teenager.
