Early life
 Oprah battled a rough childhood that included poverty, sexual abuse, unwanted 
pregnancy, and the death of a child.
 Her life changed when she moved to Nashville to live with her father. After the move 
she lived a stable lifestyle where she was able to flourish.
 She received a full scholarship to Tennessee State University.

Her inspiration
Oprah was driven by her rough childhood. She aspired to outgrow the person
she was supposed to become based on her circumstances. Oprah wanted to
inspire others to become more than what they thought they could be.
Her Business
Shortly after graduating, Oprah landed an anchor job with a local TV station.
She was eventually granted her own TV show named “The Oprah Winfrey
Show” in 1985.
Her success in television prompted her to create her own production
company named “Harpo Production Inc.”

She eventually co-founded a channel called
“Oxygen”, created her own channel named
“OWN”, and created her own magazine named
“O”
Her impact
Oprah revolutionized television
She targeted various issues such
as Women empowerment.
