Myanmar Faces Center

Myanmar Faces Center (MFC) opened it's doors in May 2013 with 13 children. 

MFC is now home to 33 children, one manager and four caregivers. 

In 2014; new trees, plants, and a garden were added. The home is now enjoying produce from the vegetable garden!

of children and sharing the gospel of Christ, in the last year. Without your support and partnership, there would be no way for us to conduct such a big children campaign in the frontier areas of Myanmar.

In Calcutta, in partnership with Kolkata City Mission we are feeding

450 children

and 50 seniors

one cup of soy milk 5 days per week and employ 4 women with full-time jobs!

In India ~ Alpha Foundation supports...

Changing Lives Society serves the underprivileged people in the slums through their four Life Centers. The settlement consists of 300 families. The Centres are located in Chennai, India.

The centers offer:

CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

1. Provide daycare for children under the age of five

2. Provide a daily lunch for the younger children

3. Provide quality education for the children through tutoring classes for Grades 1 to 8

4. Provide Kids Club on the weekend with Biblical teaching

5. Enable the children to grow spiritually

6. To identify and sponsor the deserving candidates who show interest in studies and who

are not able to afford higher education

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

 Will provide youth camps for the young people facing current issues

 Provide opportunities for Biblical teaching for the youth through worship times, camps,

preaching and discussion time

 Host weekly sports outreach program to reach the youth in the community

WOMEN’S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

 Provide skills training for the women from the slum community

 Provide health education for the women

 Provide monthly Women’s Ministry Program

 Biblical teaching through morning devotions

Mass Welfare Society is running 7 Preparatory Schools in three urban slum areas in Kolkata and one rural area under the project financed by Alpha Foundation through Stand as One Ministry. 

Besides education programme, daily nutritional and monthly health Check-up Programme is also given in these schools. Daily Tiffin is being served to all children coming to the Preparatory schools. Our Doctor is visiting all these schools once a month to treat our children. Free medicines are also being provided to every needy child following his instruction.

 

Vocational and Craft training classes are continuing in one of these schools creating immense attraction of children as they are taking great interest in making craft and needle work.

 

Christian teaching is offered at all the schools on a weekly basis. The Children learn Bible stories and Christian songs. Mass Welfare Society also holds special Christian services for the students, teachers and all staffs.
