Tex Avery created the famous characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck For Looney Tunes. 

Intro

Fedrick Bean "Tex" Avery was born on Febuary 26, 1908 in Taylor, TX. He was nicknamed Tex in honor of his home state. He graduated from North Dallas High School in 1926, where they had the popular catchphrase, "What's up, doc?"  His first job as an animatior was at Walter Lantz.  He worked for Warner Brothers on Looney Tunes, 1936-1941. 

In 1941, he moved to MGM. He tried to recreate his success with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck by creating Droopy and Spike, but it didn't work out. In 1953,Tex Avery was "burnt out" and left MGM and went back to Lantz. He helped make commercials for Raid, the bug spray, and the controversial Frito-Lay mascot, the Frito Bandito. He died on Aug 16, 1980.
