Lesson Objective
The student should be able to give adjectives to describe any noun the teacher provides.
Background Information for Teacher
An adjective is that it is a word that describes or clarifies a noun. Adjectives describe nouns by giving some information about an
object’s size, shape, age, color, origin or material.
Example: It’s a big
table. (size) ; It’s a round
table. (shape); It’s an old
table. (age); It’s a brown
table. (color); It’s an English
table.

Step-by-Step Guided Lesson
Step 1: Start Video

Step 2: Teach Lesson
Ask the student if they know the story of the Three Little Pigs (the teacher can choose whichever story he/she likes). Ask them to look
at the pictures and drawings as you watch the video or read them the story of the Three Little Pigs.
After watching/reading the story, ask the student which pig they like and dislike in the story. Ask why they like and dislike the pig
which they answered. As the student tells you their reasons, write down all the adjectives that you hear in their answer. You can write
the adjectives on to the board.
Tell the student that any word that describes things we like or dislike are called adjectives.
Invite the student to act out their favorite character from the story then ask the student to describe characters they portrayed. Remind
the student that the words they are using to describe are called adjectives.
Ask the student to say, write, or draw at least one adjectives for every person, thing, place, or animal the teachers tells them. Select
about 5-7 simple nouns.
Ask the student to tell you what they learned about adjectives.

Human Adjective Bingo (offline) activity
Have your the student create their own Bingo boards for an adjective review game. Give the student a blank bingo
board and some old magazines. The student should cut pictures of people out of the magazine, one for each blank on the
bingo board, and glue them in place however they see fit. The students should use a variety of different pictures and
different people. Once the glue dries, it’s time to play human adjective bingo. To play, call out different adjectives that can
describe people. If a picture on their board matches that description, they can cover the square. When the student calls
bingo tell them to keep their markers in place and review with the student to make sure they have bingo.
