March 1 2017 Thanks again for your interest and support of our Feed the Future campaign We are excited to share with you our friends in hunger relief that we are moving ever closer to our campaign goal Feed the Future is designed to address the hunger needs of children by supplying greater amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables to our partner network of food pantries shelters and soup kitchens that feed children and their families and by partnering with community champions to expand the BackPack School Pantry and Kids Summer Lunch programs to dozens of communities statewide In this issue you ll meet Staci a mother of two who receives support from a School Pantry program and is witnessing the benefits of this assistance in her daughter s health and behavior Additionally you ll read about the generosity of our friends at SUPERVALU Foundation and Hornbacher s who are committed to effecting positive change in communities where they operates and serve and Great Plains Food Bank Board Member Nancy Johnson who invites others to join her in support of Feed the Future because no child deserves to go hungry Thank you for joining us in this important work Your partner in hunger relief Steve Sellent Chief Executive Officer P S If you would like to learn more about how Feed the Future will support our work in ending childhood hunger please call or email me at ssellent greatplainsfoodbank org or 701 476 9104 I look forward to our visit
