Tutoring Programs
Private Tutoring: We offer one-on-one tutoring services for many subjects. Based on the findings from the
initial consultation, we create an academic plan to fulfil the needs of your student and assign an appropriate
tutor.
Small Group Tutoring: We offer tutoring services for small groups, tailored to meet the needs of the group.
The small group can consist of 2 - 10 students.
ACT Prep Course: Our ACT workshops prepare students to successfully complete the ACT by providing
skill review, time management, and testing strategies. In addition to weekly tutoring sessions, students will
receive an average of 5 - 6 hours of homework each week. Students will achieve better results the more
they study, practice the test questions, and apply the testing and time management strategies learned in
the workshop.
Group ACT Prep Course: Our group ACT Prep Course runs several times a year prior to the ACT test dates.
The workshop meets twice a week for 2-hour sessions.
Part I: Orientation & Mock Test: (Time requirements: 1 day; approximately 4 hours) Students and
parents are required to attend orientation in order to participate in the workshop. Before the
workshop, students will participate in a mock ACT test. The purpose of this test is to help determine
students’ strengths and weaknesses and to establish a base score for results tracking.
Part II: Tutoring Sessions: Our ACT tutoring sessions meet a total of 4 hours a week. For our ACT
Prep Course, it is important that students attend all tutoring sessions.
Part III: Mock Tests: Students will participate in 2 additional ACT mock tests; one will be conducted
halfway through the course and the second at the end of the course. All students are required to
participate in the mock tests.
Part IV: Additional Tutoring (optional): If a student desires extra help in preparation for the ACT, he
or she may schedule additional one-on-one sessions with the tutor.
Private ACT Prep Course: Private ACT tutoring allows the tutor to go at the pace of the individual student.
These sessions are scheduled with the tutor. Students receiving private ACT tutoring must also participate
in parts I and III of the group ACT Prep Course.
