Unemployment in The Great Depression

By: Sabina Jakubowski, period 4

Times were tough during unemployment, and people would wait outside for jobs.

It was tough on families too.

People without jobs often couldn't afford food, and went to the soup kitchen.

People stayed strong and wanted to earn the money they would get.

Unemployment was the biggest topic among all citizens.

Unemployment hit hard on families without husbands having a stable job.

People had to work tough jobs.

Citizens called for reform and change.

People wanted to be treated as normal and go back to their old lives.

People were just desperate.
