The Make-A-Wish foundation is a non profit organization that grants the wishes of children everywhere with a terminal or life threatening illness. The Make-A-Wish Foundation started in spring 1980 with a 7 year old boy named Chris who's life was likely to end because of leukemia. Chris wanted to be a police officer so he could "catch the bad guys with Tommy Austin" (One of the many people who helped grant Chris' wish). Tommy Austin told the Arizona DPS Officer Ron Cox about Chris and he takes the request to the Department of Public Safety spokesman who asks the DPS director can they grant Chris' wish. Tommy Austin received a phone call from Chris' mother saying she doesn't think Chris will be alive for much longer. The DPS had put together a team to help grant the one wish Chris wanted. On April 29th Chris' wish was granted. Not even a full week later, on May 3rd 1980 Chris passed away. Chris paved the way for thousands of kids with an illness to get their wish granted.

What Is The Make-a-Wish Foundation and how did it get started?

Personally, I think everybody should support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation makes children who are not able to do what most children their age can do happy and it also brings you happiness by putting a smile on their face. Everyone deserves to be happy so why not help make the Make-A-Wish kids happy?

Why YOU Should Support the Make-A-Wish Foundation!

Have you guys ever heard of the famous picture with Uncle Sam saying "I want you to join the US Army"? Well.. I want YOU to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation! The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an amazing organization that helps people follow their dreams and get granted their own wish. The Make-A-Wish kids don't need fairy god parents like Timmy Turner to get granted wishes but they need you.
