How to Order a Pallet
We will provide you with step by step instructions on “How to Order
If you have a picture, sketch, or specifications of how you will want
you pallet to look like feel free to mention it to us. That will make the
process go smoother and will provide order acceracy.
First Step: Dimensions
In order to ensure that we provide you with the correct pallet that is needed for
your business needs, we will need to know the dimensions of the pallet. We
require for the dimensions to be in order, first you state the Length of the Pallet
followed by the Width in inches. (See
Pallet Dimensions = Length (in.) x Width (in.)
Second Step: Type of Pallet (Regular or Heat Treated Pallet)
What we mean by Regular we mean pallets that are not made with heat treated
wood/ kiln dried wood. Heat treated Pallets are require for any pallets that will be
shipped out of the country (Internationally).
When pallets are being used for export purposes proper documentation will be
provide, but only for pallets that are heat treated. Below are the standards that a
supplier must follow to be a certified carrier along with a sample of how the mark/
stamp may look like.
Heat Sterilization Treatment:
The minimum temperature at the center of the timber is 74˚C (165˚F).
The duration of treatment for the material used to produce these pallets is a minimum of 18
hours. The thickness of the timber used to produce these pallets is a maximum of 4
inches. This stamped lumber has a maximum moisture content of 19%. All HT lumber is
stored in a closed chamber. This kiln dried material is free of bug infestation
It is important to know how much weight will be placed on the pallet so we could
make the pallet accordingly. A standard pallet (GMA Wood Pallet 48x40) will hold
anywhere from 1500 lbs to 2500 lbs. If you require your pallet to hold more
weight we will need to make it out of heavier duty wood that will hold the weight.
Fourth Step: 4-way or 2-way Pallet
This is also important to know when you are looking into ordering pallets. If you
are only interested in 2-way Pallets you will need to make sure you have pallet
forks/ pallet jacks long to pick-up and lift the pallet. If you look at the diagram
below you will notice that where it is labeled Four-way Entry, the wood runner has
entry access. Those are called notches and that is what make a pallet a Fourway Pallet, it gives you the ability to lift/pick-up the pallet in all for directions with
Fifth Step: Quantity

everything you need. You can purchase from the smallest quantity, being 1 pallet
up to a big volume. We just require lead time for big order.
