Well the Grand Master's visit came and went and a special thanks to all who attended and helped to make the meeting a success. A very Happy Thanksgiving to all and God Bless! Fred Wright - Secretary From the East Greetings Brethren! I would like to begin by thanking all the Brethren who have participated in the recent Lodge Officer Training Course sessions, especially Bro. Gene Simms of Tropical Lodge, who has been extremely useful and helpful in assisting us through this thorough and interesting training course. Although we are nearing completion of all three modules of the Lodge Officer Training Course, it can be done by any Master Mason at any time, and is available on the Grand Lodge website. We also have copies of all three exams, along with their respective study guides in the Secretary’s office. Through this particular course, as well as through the MM I, MM II, and MM III exams and Masonic Leadership Training, I have found that there is A LOT more to successfully operating a Masonic Lodge, or even participating in one as an Officer, than I had once thought. Ritual and catechism are great and important, but they are merely the tip of the iceberg of this worldwide Fraternity. The real challenges and priorities are found behind the scenes, in such Masonic courses and exams as stated above. They elucidate what exactly keeps Lodges functioning properly within Grand Lodge rules and regulations, what keeps the Lodge Charter on the wall, and should certainly not be neglected by any studious Mason. I encourage any inquisitive or eager Brothers to begin these various courses as soon as possible, as many are being held year round or readily available. I would also like to formally announce Widow’s Day on Saturday, November 19th at 10 am, here at the Lodge. Continued

From the East - Continued Any Brethren participating or assisting with this Widow’s Day, please be here by 9 am for setting it up, kitchen work, and welcoming our Widows, so we can provide an extraordinary brunch in honor of them and their departed husbands. Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank all the Brethren who assisted in the Lodge cleanup day. Our Lodge has never, never looked better. Good job Brothers, and Happy Thanksgiving! Joshua Calero - W.M. From the West Greetings from the West Brothers, I want to thank my brothers and their families for attending the Grand Master's Visitation last week. It is always inspiring to see all of us working together to make everything run smoothly. Our strong fraternity was apparent in a successful night. Every man is an individual. We all know this, but we tend to forget it. Every man has his likes and dislikes. Every man has ideas that will benefit his Lodge and Freemasonry, but no one can benefit from ideas that are kept buried. By utilizing teams, by encouraging each member to serve where he is best qualified, ideas will be flushed out into the open. All of us will be the beneficiaries. The success of our evening represents how good of a team we are. A special thank you is needed for my brothers who helped in the kitchen to make the dinner possible. Jeff Nowak, John Whitey Herman, Derek Vaneske, Tony DeOliveira, Gene Sims of Tropical Lodge, and the Rainbow Girls. We all worked together to make such a fluid presentation throughout the evening. W.M:. Joshua Calero presenting M.W:. Stanley Hudson with an Honorary Perpetual Membership to Fort Myers Beach Lodge Sincerely, MJ Kenny Senior Warden
