A Note From The Office
Brian Walker Chad Wright
Principal Assistant Principal
It is crazy to think that the 1
st
quarter of the school year is coming to a close, but it is. It feels like we
just started. It always amazes me how quickly time goes by throughout the school year. It has been a
great start to the year with many highlights and memories already being created. It is important that we
all take time to celebrate the great things that Fairmont students are doing.
Our fall athletic teams have had an outstanding fall season and we are very proud of the way they have
represented the Falcons. It was a joy to watch our teams in action. I am always impressed with how our
athletes compete and represent Fairmont with integrity, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. Thank you to
our coaches for the time and investment they have made in making a difference in the lives of our students
outside the classroom. We would also like to thank our parents for their tremendous support at athletic
events. It means a lot to our athletes to see so many parents show up to support the Falcons. Winter
sports will be starting up shortly with Wrestling and Basketball. We want to encourage our students to get
plugged in and involved as we believe it can have a positive impact on your child’s overall educational
experience. The life values you learn through participation in athletics and activities are priceless.
Concert season has already begun. We have some outstanding music programs at Fairmont that include
strong numbers and many talented musicians. If you didn’t get a chance to see our music programs in action
during October, I encourage you to join us at our holiday concerts in December. Check the dates to the left
to see dates and times for concerts. Thank you to our music staff for the time and energy they put into
providing our students with outstanding music programs.
Our school-wide fundraiser will be continuing up through November 18
th
. We have set a schoolwide goal of
selling 800 Papa Murphy’s discount cards. The cost is $5 per card with $4 coming directly back to Fairmont.
We appreciate the support of teachers, students, parents, and community members with this fundraiser.
This money will be put to good use supporting our Falcon Values at Fairmont and the many other ways we try
to enhance the educational experience for our students.
We encourage everyone to join us on Tuesday November 1
st
or Wednesday November 2
nd
for
Parent/Teacher Conferences. Each night Conferences will run from 4:00PM to 7:00PM in the gym. This
is a great opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers and find out more about how things are going for
your child in the classroom. Details of the set-up for Parent/Teacher Conferences will be posted on our
website beginning October 28
th
.
https://fairmont.boiseschools.org/ . We will be emailing out information
and instructions for a parent survey prior to Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you have trouble accessing
the surveys please contact the front office. Survey information will also be available at Parent
Conferences.
We are looking forward to an exciting 2

of us here at Fairmont want to wish all our Fairmont Families a Happy Holiday Season!! May each of you find

Scholastic Book Fair coming to FJH!
October 31 November 3
During the school day & conferences
Buy a book & support reading (and the FJH
library)
Parents, would you like to help with the Book
Fair? Contact Mrs. Jenson at
debbie.jenson@boiseschools.org or 854-4790.
We need your help!
From the Front Office
For safety reasons we ask that you use the front
section of the parking lot closest to the building for
dropping off your students in the mornings. It is very
difficult for drivers to see students in the dark and the
parking area was not designed for drop offs. We realize
traffic gets congested in the mornings but our first
concern is student safety. Thank you for your
cooperation.
Fairmont Families
Concessions
It’s girls basketball season. If your daughter is playing, and you would like to help us with the concessions cart at her home games, please
contact Denice Haener at haenerd@gmail.com.

Be looking for more information about contests and collections this upcoming quarter. You can bring in box tops at anytime and put them in
the Fairmont Families mail box in the office or have your child give them to their math teacher. Every box top equals $.10 and they add up!
