Epitaph:

Shine

As light as day and dark as night, through it all we must shine.

Senryu Poem:

Brother’s Poem

Where are you brother

This house does not feel like home

Ever since you’ve left.

Diamante:

Rock

Rock

Hard, smooth

Sitting, Eroding, Waiting

Thrown at times for fun and glamour

Shining, Glimmering, sitting

Beautiful, Shiny

Diamond

Tanka Poem:

Annie

I love my niece,

She is beautiful.

Bringing Joy to life,

Leaving a smile on my face.

Always greeting me with hugs.

List Poem:

The List

A Broom, a mop, a wrench for the shop,

A peach, a Pear, some new Underwear,

A Banana, An Apple, A bottle of Snapple,

A pepper, a onion, a bag of Funions

A hammer, a drape, some freshly baked Crepes.

I don’t understand why in the world you are reading this

For’ this is only my shopping list.

Limerick:

The Man

“Oh man” said sam,

“Look at that man”

“Standing strong and tall

Just like a wall

Oh look how high he stands!”

Acrostic Poem:

Creativity

Anyone can write poems

Creative people write good poems

Real situations described in depth

Only the best of writers create these

Since i'm only an average poet,

This poem isn’t exactly good

I can atleast say I tried

Can't I?

Elegy:

As The Days..

As the days grow short,

The sun goes down one more time

Letting the Earth fade from lightness

Into the dark

As the Sunset fades,

As the Star's blend into the black sky.

Glimmering in the midnight sky

Hanging there only for a little while.

As their light begins to dim,

As will my life.

I fade like the light of the stars,

But the sun will still come around.

Shape Poem:

The world

The

World will

Keep on without

Us, as if our existence

Never even happened. As if

We were to never be apart of her.

As if every breath we ever took

Was to go unnoticed, every

Home unbuilt, every

One of us was

Forgotten.

Bio Poem:

Larry

Larry

Smart, Devoted, Stressed, Restless

Husband of Cindy Koch

Loved to help people

Felt rather stressed with all of the work laid before him, but maintained confidence

Feared poverty, not being able to support family, looking weak to his family

Married Cindy, had two beautiful children, raising them well

Go to more Cardinals games, spoil his family, see his grandchildren grow

He lived in an average size house just outside of Paris Arkansas

Koch

Black out Poem:

Alone

Nobody liked to go alone.

ABC Poem:

Freedom

Although the wind blows

Breaking the silence

Centered around the corruption of man

Drowning every last one of them in sorrows

Everyone is oblivious to the fact

Freedom doesn't always mean we are free.

 Cinquain:

We

We

Strong, aligned

Marching, working, fighting

Boys of fall

Team

 Haiku:

Mama

You gave me life, Ma

You gave me the breath in my lungs

You sheltered me, Ma

Found Poem:

Yesterday

I’ve been trapped inside a cage,

Swallowed by the pain.

My own heart,

Slowly fell apart.

It’ll leave you with nothing to say,

Lost without a way.

This young mans heart,

Is dead and gone.

Love’s a priceless gift,

One not on the list.

In a way,

it leaves you as dead as yesterday.
