Accurate measurements are required to process lenses correctly, which is why we trace frames in our in-house processing facility. As a result, labs can start surfacing up to 24 hours sooner than if they had to wait for the actual frame to arrive. In addition, the quality of the final lens is improved and more likely to fit the frame. The prescriptions therefore are correctly placed on the lens and then surfaced to produce optimal thinness.
