Miyazaki founded Studio Ghibli, a Disney subdivision that brought japanese animation international fame.


Ghibli movies have charmed audiences worldwide with their subtle life lessons, lovable characters, and flawless animation for over 30 years.


One of the studio's most well-known film is 'My Neighbor Totoro", an animation that has touched hearts, even today.



Hayao Miyazaki was born on January 5, 1941 in Tokyo, Japan. He first began with Toei Douga Studio in 1963 as an animatior, and in turn worked on many classic Japanese animations. He became renoun for his entertaining plot, and charismatic characters, eventually creating "Princess Mononoke", which recieved the japanese equivalent to an academy award.


His first film was "Panda! Go, Panda!", his most memorable film was "My Neighbour Totoro", and his most recent film was "The Wind Rises"
