Timothy Burton, also known as Tim Burton was born on August 25, 1958 in Burbank, California. That's when the world of animation was changed. Living in Hollywood, Burton was used to all the movies and grew a fascination for horror movies. When Burton was only a child around 10 years old he took his Super 8 camera and making his own shorts. Later in life, Burton attended the school, California Institute of Arts. His first big job as he went into the career of animation, he worked at Disney. He was in charge of the brain storming and creating new topics for movies. Burton later left Disney and started making is own animations. He followed the footsteps of his favorite animator, and his idol, Vincent Price and paid a tribute to him by creating Frankenweeenie (1984) and Vincent (1982). Burton was best known for his signature drawing of is a gothic style with characters having skinny limbs and big eyes and films and shorts called "claymations". His first successful animation that hit it big in the movie industry was ‘Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure (1985). Since then, Burton has been making so many countless movies, with some awards. Tim Burton has won 6 awards, Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement in 2007, Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation in 1991 for Edward Scissorhands, Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s Animated Program in 1990 for Beetlejuice, National Board of Review Award for Best Director in 2007 for Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Future Film Festival Digital Award in 2005 for Corpse Bride, and Empire Legend Award in 2012, with 12 nominations. His up coming project is Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children on September 30th.
