UNICEF is an organization that helps needy children. They help them by giving them food to eat, clothes to wear, education, vaccines, protection, and many other things. They also hang out with them and encourage them. And as you can see in the picture below, they do fun stuff with them also.

 

What is UNICEF?

 

After World War II, European children face famine and disease. UNICEF is created in December 1946 by the United Nations to provide food, clothing and health care to them.

HOW UNICEF WORKS.

 

 

Present in 190 countries, UNICEF is the world's leading organization for children.  Governments contribute two thirds of their resources, private groups and 6 million individual donors contribute the rest. 

 

MISSION OF UNICEF.

 

 

UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.
