Animals eat bones the same reason we drink milk. Milk and bones provide calcium and phosphorus. These are needed to harden bones and teeth. Milk and bones also build up bones in the body. These are needed for younger animals to grow well.
Why Do Animals Eat Bones?
What would happen
if they didn't?
Animals would have a weak bone structure and wouldn't grow as well as they would eating bones. They would also not get the proteins they need for stomach acid. Bones are very important. Even some shells on the beach are actually bones!
