Your ads on our website are typically 2-4 times larger than all of the leading websites, with unlimited pictures, text, and video, your car is listed until it sells, and we promote it extensively across the social media with a special focus on our Facebook page  where we get thousands of visitors every day! "Exposure" is the key to success in selling your classic car, and that’s what we do, "expose" your classic car to the world, and for a much more reasonable price than the competition!

It’s estimated that 70% of classic car enthusiasts are in the 50 plus age group. Aka wise, mature, senior citizens! It’s also estimated that 70% of that group’s number one interest is investing and building their portfolios. It only makes sense that Precious Metal should be part of that interest! Be assured, that your future and best interests and financial success, as well as your enjoyment and entertainment are our number one concern. PreciousMetalClassicCars.Com’s primary interest is assisting you in selling your classic car as expeditiously as possible, and netting you the highest possible return.

THE CLASSIC CAR COLLECTORS / INVESTORS BIBLE

A must visit destination for all automotive enthusiasts seeking the latest news and information about the classic car hobby, and market. Wall Street has moved to the classic car auction house stages around the world! Today’s collectors / investors need to stay informed or risk losing or gaining fortunes! It is our goal to keep you up to speed in today’s market, and in an informative and entertaining format! Most classic car collectors today divide their time between race tracks, car shows and rallies, and auctions. We want to keep you informed on every aspect of this great hobby we spend all our time consumed in. Happy Motoring!

The age old Cliché, "This isn't your father's Oldsmobile," aptly applies to todays classic car collecting hobby. The past decade has seen significant changes with an overwhelming increase in the number of investors whose primary interest is in making money at auctions, rather than making friends at car shows. While the car shows, rallies, and club gatherings are still just as important, many wise investors will now use them as marketing tools to promote their rare investments. As wise as our fathers and grandfathers might have been, none of them could have imagined a $50 clunker bringing a half million dollars at an auction today! Real estate has always been the foundation for successful investors. A $30K home in the 60's may now be worth $300K in most markets, but a $5K COPO Camaro in the 60's could fetch $500K at auction today! Who could have ever imagined!

1932 Ford Roadster - "The T-Bird Deuce" -

Built in 1955 as a hot rod, shared by 24

owners in past 60 years !

T-Bird Deuce This 1932 Ford Roadster was built into a Hot Rod in 1955 by Michael O'Byrne of Dorchester Ontario. A wrecked 1955 Ford Custom was used as a donor car for the 292 cu. in. motor and automatic transmission as well as the steering column and gear shift selector. The steering and drum brakes were from a 1953 Ford pick up truck. The car was painted in Sherwood green metallic, with black interior and a custom white top. After driving and drag racing the car for a short while, Michael upgraded the motor to a 312 early crate engine. This car was a fixture during the late 50's in and around London Ontario. All the car guys knew Michael's 32 Hot Rod. One day Michael got an offer to sell his hot rod and away it went to another London car guy. This was the start of a number of Southwestern Ontario owners. The car spent time in London, Petrolia, Sarnia, Wallaceburg, Wheatley, and Windsor before being sold to Karl Chase in Michigan. The car had five different owners in Michigan before coming back to Ontario. John Willoughby of London was owner number seven during the early 60's and after owning it for a few years he sold the car to put more money into a drag race car. That all came to an end with marriage in 1967. After retiring John decided to see if he could find his old hot rod. He contacted a number of old friends, who in turn contacted their friends and eventually a contact was made with Mike Lowden of Belle River Ontario. Mike remembered the car from it days in Windsor and he offered to help John in his search. The car was traced to the second owner in Michigan who confirmed he did own the car, but could not remember who he sold it to. The search hit the wall. A number of months later, John received a call from the second Michigan owner who found a VIN number on an old insurance card. With help from a very nice lady in Denver Colorado the car was traced to the present owner. John phoned the owner and told him the history and asked if he could come to see the car. John walked into the shop in Michigan and immediately recognized his old car that he sold forty seven years earlier. John was able to purchase the car and return it to Ontario in 2011. There have been 24 owners of this hot rod since is was built 59 years ago and all have been identified. This is an old school survivor hot rod. The complete history in both words and pictures can be found on the web site. Read the full story here,....   www.tbirddeuce.com

On this day in 1948, the National Association for Stock Car Racing–or NASCAR, as it will come to be widely known–is officially incorporated. NASCAR racing will go on to become one of America’s most popular spectator sports, as well as a multi-billion-dollar industry.

The driving force behind the establishment of NASCAR was William “Bill” France Sr. (1909-1992), a mechanic and auto-repair shop owner from Washington, D.C., who in the mid-1930s moved to Daytona Beach, Florida. The Daytona area was a gathering spot for racing enthusiasts, and France became involved in racing cars and promoting races. After witnessing how racing rules could vary from event to event and how dishonest promoters could abscond with prize money, France felt there was a need for a governing body to sanction and promote racing. He gathered members of the racing community to discuss the idea, and NASCAR was born, with its official incorporation in February 1921. France served as NASCAR’s first president and played a key role in shaping its development in the sport’s early decades.

NASCAR held its first Strictly Stock race on June 19, 1949, at the Charlotte Speedway in North Carolina. Some 13,000 fans were on hand to watch Glenn Dunnaway finish the 200-lap race first in his Ford; however, Jim Roper (who drove a Lincoln) collected the $2,000 prize after Dunnaway was disqualified for illegal rear springs on his vehicle. In the early years of NASCAR, competitors drove the same types of cars that people drove on the street–Buicks, Cadillacs, Oldsmobiles, among others–with minimal modifications. (Today, the cars are highly customized.)

In 1950, the first NASCAR-based track, the Darlington Raceway in South Carolina, opened. More new raceways followed, including the Daytona International Speedway, which opened in 1959. Lee Petty won the first Daytona 500, which was run on February 22 of that year. The Daytona 500 became NASCAR’s season opener and one of its premiere events. Lee Petty’s son Richard, who began his racing career in 1958, won the Daytona 500 a record seven times and became NASCAR’s first superstar before retiring in 1992. On February 18, 1979, the first live flag-to-flag coverage of the Daytona 500 was broadcast on television. An end-of-the-race brawl between drivers Cale Yarborough and Donnie and Bobby Allison was a huge publicity generator and helped boost NASCAR’s popularity on a national scale.

In 1972, France’s son, William France Jr., took over the presidency of NASCAR from his father. Over the next three decades, the younger France (1933-2007) was instrumental in transforming NASCAR from a regional sport popular primarily in the southeast U.S. into one with a global fan base. France led NASCAR into a new era of lucrative corporate sponsorships and billion-dollar TV contracts. Today, NASCAR has three national series as well as four regional series and two international series. The organization sanctions over 1,200 races at 100 tracks across North America.

I bought this car as a complete Original car. Down to its locking side mount locks and working ignition key. Sadly it was far more beat up upon picking it up in Forest Grove Oregon where it had been stored by a once young couple in 1946. The pictures lied but i thought the car had potential. They still had the 1926 Ford T coupe they used on there honeymoon in 1941 and had never owned a modern car. I originally went to buy their all original 1925 Moon sedan that had 34,000 miles on it.. But I fell in love with the Franklin, Its classic looks , six wire wheels and air-cooled engine swayed me. We started in on the project in 2000 but sadly found as we removed the interior major wood rot. apparently the car was parked in a very leaky barn that leaked primarily over the roof of the car. The fenders were all in horrible condition and the bumpers were in pieces!! My father being a master woodworker in Oregon started the hard task of redoing all the original Body wood. All franklins had Walker bodies . Walker tended to use ALOT of wood.. needless to say the cost of restoring the body was fast exceeding its worth once restored. So what to do? The car was now totally dismantled and in shambles. looking through the Franklin Club website I discovered that Cantrell had made a number of woodie wagons on the Franklin chassis. None existed except for one 1930 that was restored from pieces discovered in a field in 1966 by a club member. He has completely blue printed the car and had special wood forming tools made for the precise bevels and edges that Cantrell used to make the car when new. Upon contacting him he was more than happy to share my enthusiasm for building an inspired Cantrell Woodie. Since my chassis was on the regular Chassis some changes had to be made. I also wanted to use as many of the original parts from my sedan as possible. Searching into the Cantrell files further we found a similar body mounted on a Studebaker chassis of the same year that utilized the sedan cowl and windshield posts. I chose to paint the car its original Green you see it painted now as I thought it unusual and it goes well with the wood. We should have it assembled in time for the 46th Franklin Westrek being held in Crater lake Oregon this June where 35 Franklins will gather.

Why advertise in the Precious Metal Classic Cars Magazine?

In addition to the worldwide media market exposure, we will post your classic car for you on Ebay free of charge! My fees along with Ebays fees will be included in the buyers premium, (the amount added to the winning bid), or agreed upon price. I've been selling classic cars on Ebay for 15 years and have established a rapport with many collectors around the world. We only list high demand, rare, vintage classic cars. I have clients seeking show quality, pristine "Precious Metal", as well as daily drivers. Most of my sales are negotiated over the phone and Ebay is used only as a marketing tool. Advertise your car with us and get it sold quickly for top dollar!

If you compare the top half dozen or so traditional classic car classified ad sites side by side, they all look the same, and have not changed at all in the past 10 years! Except for their pricing, which has gone through the roof! While offering the same basic fundamental services, we have a brand new image designed to attract the serious collector and investor, rather than tire kickers! If you’re tired of sorting through piles of clutter to find specific vehicles for sale, or other relative information, or seeing your Bugatti parked next to a Beetle on the website you’ve been using, we understand your embarrassment and frustration. I've designed a site where that won’t happen. You won’t find a Concours Vintage car on the lawns of Pebble Beach, on the same page with a 4x4 truck in the mud, as you might on a typical classic car website. You get a full page ad dedicated to your vehicle without advertisements. We’ve designed a format that’s clean and uncluttered, yet informative and easy to navigate. Our marketing strategy is to focus on the investment potential of rare and unique collector cars, as well as the traditional collector’s personal interests of showing and driving his or her prized masterpieces. To meet all the needs of the discriminative seller or buyer.
