What the ...

 

Kombucha is a name for both the drink - a fermented tea - and the "symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast", commonly known as "a kombucha fungus/mushroom", that turns a sweetened tea into a healthy drink.

1# HOMEMADE

 

Once in the sweetened tea, the kombucha culture starts producing biologically valuable substances for its human owner.

#2 FIZZY

 

After 7-8 days, the drink is ready. If everything went right, it should be slightly sour and fizzy.

#3 FLAVOURED

 

The choice of tea will determine the taste of the pure kombucha drink.

But that can be futher improved by adding some sliced juicy fruit!

#4 HEALTHY

 

Enzymes, B-vitamins, various acids (good for digestion), small amount of alcohol - 0,5%; if you are interested in this alchemy, your own research is advised since there is no clear-cut definition of the health benefits. see here

You cannot deny it - all this sounds and even looks cool, right?

But that is not it yet - after six months, when the mushroom dies - you can dry it and make creepy things out of it!
